2D Viewer and Tools

When a drawing thumbnail is clicked in the Details Page of an entity (e.g. Equipment, FLOC, CML, etc.) the associated drawing is opened in the 2D Viewer.

The 2D Viewer toolbar located on the right hand side of the screen contains the following buttons:

Function

Toggle Full Screen - This makes the drawing take up your entire monitor.

Change Background - Changes the background color from black to white, and vice versa.

FLOC Mapping and Coloring - Click to change FLOC display options.

List Related Attachments & Drawings - List any related drawings or attachments for a selected entity.

Take a Snapshot - Use this button to take a snapshot of the drawing and add it as an attachment to its parent FLOC/Equipment/etc.

View and Manage Action Items - Click to add a new Action Item based on the Drawing.

Zooming In/Out and Panning

To control the magnification and position of the drawing, use the following controls to:

  • Zoom in: Press and hold CTRL while scrolling your mouse wheel upward.

  • Zoom out: Press and hold CTRL while scrolling your mouse wheel downward.

  • Pan Image: Press and hold middle mouse button/scroll wheel and move mouse around to move the drawing.

Viewing Related Drawings and Attachments

In the 2D View, any component of the drawing can be selected by clicking on it. To view any related drawings or attachments:

  • Click the List Related Attachments and Drawings button from the toolbar.

  • Select a component of the drawing that has been mapped to an entity in IMS.

Any related drawings or attachments will be displayed in the dialog at the top right of the screen.

Viewing Drawings and Documents attached to ECHs

Drawings and Documents can be attached to Equipment Condition Histories (ECHs). To view a document:

  • Click on the thumbnail in the Drawings and Documents Section.

Click on a Drawing or Document on the ECH Details Page to View.

  • Navigate through the Drawings and Documents using the left and right arrows to go forward and back, respectively.

Creating Action Items

To create an Action Item directly from the 2D Viewer:

  • Click the View and Manage Action Items icon.

  • Fill in the required fields in the New Action Item dialog.

  • Click Save.
