Take Note
This article guides you through using the Min/Max Filter available on the IMS Main Screen (Grid List) and demonstrates its application through the following practical use cases, including:
Show the next Schedule per Equipment
Show the next Schedule per Unit
Showing driving CMLs per Equipment
Showing the driving Circuit per Equipment
Showing the latest Condition History on Equipment
Showing the latest Condition History per Unit
Showing the latest Condition History per Person
The Min/Max filter allows you to filter items based on the smallest (MIN) or largest (MAX) value, grouped by another property. For example, you can use it to find Circuits with the lowest Remnant Life per Unit, most recent Condition Histories per Equipment, or next due Schedules per Responsible Person. Note: The filter works on the entire dataset, not just the current scope. For example, when showing the last Condition Histories per Responsible Person under a specific Unit, it may return no results if their latest Condition Histories were not recorded under the specified Unit. The Min/Max filter applies only to date and decimal numeric fields, not to whole numbers (e.g., number of attachments).
To filter on Min or Max values:
Click the Filter button.
Click Min/Max Filter to expand it.
Under SHOW ME, select either “MIN” (to filter from the smallest / earliest values) or “MAX” (to filter from the largest / latest values).
Under FIELD, select the type of date (e.g., Next Inspection Date, Remaining Life Date) or a decimal numeric field (e.g., Interval Factor, Design Corrosion Allowance).
Under FOR EVERY, select the grouping property (for example, Unit).
Click the Arrow.
Showing the Next Due Schedule per Equipment
To find the next scheduled inspection for each piece of Equipment, filter the Schedules based on the Next Inspection Date per Equipment:
In the Main Menu, click on Schedule to navigate to the Schedule Main Screen.
Click the Filter button.
Click the Min/Max Filter to expand it.
Under SHOW ME, select “MIN (Earliest)” to filter from the earliest value.
Under FIELD, select “Next Inspection Date”.
Under FOR EVERY, select “Equipment ID”.
Click the Arrow.

Schedules Filtered per next due NID per Equipment.
The Schedule Main Screen (Grid View) will display a list of Schedules with the earliest NID for each piece of Equipment.
Take Note
Note: Applying the same Min/Max filter settings on the Equipment Main Screen shows next due Schedules limited to the current IMS module’s Equipment, whereas on the Schedule Main Screen, it includes all Equipment in the system.
