# 3D Observation Main Screen (Grid List)

The 3D Observation Main Screen displays the available Observation Projects (OB-Projects), the Observation Project's Status, a count of Observation Items (OB-Items) in the Project, the number of OB-Items marked for ECH, and the number of OB-Items which have been added to an ECH, among other information. The displayed columns can be changed to suit your needs by clicking the *Settings* button in the toolbar.

Click the Settings button to change the 3D Observation display.

## Observation Project Statuses

Each OB-Project row is color-coded to identify its Status:

The Observation Project Status is automatically updated based on the Status assigned to each OB-Item within the Project.

Note: It is possible to set an Observation Project's status to "Rejected". This is done in the [Observation Project View](/v414/docs/3d-observation-project-view) (click the *3D Observation Details* button). This will set all the OB-Items that have note been Completed to Obsolete and as soon as that happens the Observation Project's Status will change to Completed.

## Observation Project Filters

You can use the filters to find the Project that you need:

- Click the *Filter* button.

Click the filter button.

- Select the filter(s) that you need and click **Show...**

## Merging Projects

You can merge multiple Project if desired:

- Select two or more Projects (that does not have an "Unresolved" Status).
- Click the *Merge* button.

Observation Project Merge button.

- Enter a Project description.
- Click **Merge**.

A new Project will be created with all boxes, notes, Point Clouds, images, etc. integrated from the selected Projects. The original Projects will be deleted.

## Exporting and Importing

It is possible to export 3D Observation information from the Main Screen grid to Excel. Furthermore, it is possible to (bulk) import OB-Items into Observation Projects. This can be done either by downloading a template from the [Import Wizard](/v414/docs/importing-data-via-settings), or by exporting for import.

### Exporting grid information

To Export the 3D Observation grid information:

- Select the desired Projects (rows).
- Click the *Export* button.

Click the Export button.
- Make sure Export only the selected rows are checked.
- Click **Export**.

### Exporting for import

To Export Projects for import:

- Select the desired Projects (rows).
- Click the *Export* button.
- Click **here** to export for import.

Click here to export for import.

- Update the spreadsheet and then import the file back into IMS (see below).

### Importing

To import Observation Project data:

- Click the *Import* button.

Click the Import button.

- This will open the Import Wizard. Make sure to select import type: "3D Observations".
- Follow the steps outlined in [Importing Data via Settings](/v414/docs/importing-data-via-settings).

## Opening an OB-Project

Click on the name of the OB-Project to open the [3D Observation Project View](/v414/docs/3d-observation-project-view).
