This online manual explains:
What Action Items are.
How to Create and Use Action Items.
Action Items are a simple tool used to track any activities or work flows in IMS that are not typically directly related to inspections or corrective actions. As such, Action Items differ from Schedules in that they are not interfaced with a CMMS.
Among other capabilities, Action Items allow you to:
Assign items to an assignee and a reviewer.
Send email notifications to assigned users.
Comment on Action Items and add attachments to them.
Track Actions related to Action Items.
Create Actions related to specific objects, such as Equipment or FLOCs.
For example, an Action Item can be created on a Schedule to manage the input and feedback of different stakeholders prior to final approval of the Schedule.
Another example might be to use Action Items to remind Inspectors to review and/or update drawings upon the completion of an inspection.
