# Activating RBI modules

We have an [Application Setting](/v414/docs/application-settings) that controls which RBI methodology assets are being used: Shell RBI, API RBI 581, and/or MiRO RBI. This setting is used to show or hide the relevant RBI methodology asset functionalities, such as pages, grid modifications, and main grids.

The setting is called "RBIVersion" and is a bitmask configuration:

- 1 for S-RBI (Shell RBI)
- 2 for API-RBI (API RBI 581)
- 4 for M-RBI (MiRO RBI)
