Assigning Components to CLs
After Defining the DMs and Barriers, Components must still be assigned to the CL. The CL describes a group of Components. Thus, to completely define the CL, the related (S-RBI) Components must be assigned to the CL. Thereafter it is possible to assign the relevant DMs to the individual Components and start the risk assessment on the Component level (per DM).
To assign (or unassign) Components to the CL:
- Open the CL Details Page (see IMS Details Page).
- Scroll to the Components/RBI section.
- Click on +/- to go to a list of Components.
- Use the scoping bar and the search field to find the desired Components.
- Check the boxes in front of the desired Components to assign them. To unassign a Component, just uncheck the Component’s box again.
- Click OK when done.
Note: All Components assigned to the CL will be listed in the Components/RBI section. Here, other relevant information is also listed for the linked Components, e.g. linked Circuits, related Schedules, and RBI assessment results.
Alternatively, one can also assign a Component to a CL from the Component’s Details Page or when creating the Component.
Linking Circuits
When an assigned Component is linked to a Circuit, the Circuit will automatically be linked to the CL. See Linking Circuits to CLs.
Assigning DMs to Components
When the CL is defined and Components assigned you can start Assigning DMs to the Components.
