# CAPS2025 Material

Go to Settings \ Maintenance \ Common data \ Materials. See [CAPS2025 Common Data Overview](/v414/docs/caps2025-common-data-overview).

One of the attributes of a [Component](/v414/docs/caps2025-components-details-pages) is its Material specification. Materials are identified by a Material code. The materials maintenance window may be used to add, modify or delete Materials. Note that only the Materials which are entered in the database using this maintenance window can be selected when it is required to specify a Material (code) for a [Component](/v414/docs/caps2025-components-details-pages).
