PEI Civil Software Overview

Article summary

This online manual refers to the PEI (Civil) module in IMS.

To start:

  • First include Civil in the PEI module by ticking Include CIVIL. Note; if unchecked, Civil Equipment will be excluded from the PEI module.
  • For simplicity, untick Include PEI so that PEI (Only CIVIL) show.

When PEI is not included, items that are not applicable to CIVIL do not show, e.g. Circuits and Corrosion Loops. (When PEI is also included, it shows PEI (with CIVIL).) 

 Include Civil in the PEI module.

The RBI Analysis Tab 

The RBI Analyses can be accessed by clicking the RBI icon on the Toolbar, or by selecting it from the Component detail page. See Step 2 Start Civil RBI Analysis, assign DMs & define credible Failure Scenario.

Each row in the lowest section of the RBI Analysis tab window represents a Component - DM combination. The active row of the main window is highlighted in blue.

Grid Columns

The Grid columns present the following data:

  • Status
  • Type
  • Review
  • Equipment
  • Components
  • Schedule ID
  • Name
  • Material
  • Degradation Mechanism (DM) Name
  • Unit
  • Stf: Susceptibility to Failure
  • Asset: Economic Consequence score
  • People: Health & Safety Consequence score
  • Env: Environment Consequence score
  • Cri: Criticality rating
  • Q1: Confidence question 1
  • Q2: Confidence question 2
  • Q3: Confidence question 3
  • Q4: Confidence question 4
  • Con: Confidence Rating
  • RL (year): Remnant life in years
  • IF: Interval Factor
  • MII (year): Maximum Inspection Interval
  • LII (year): Legal Local Interval
  • NID: Next Inspection Date
  • Add to scope
  • Add NDE
