Drawings Main Screen

Drawings Grid List

Located in IMS main menu, the Drawings main grid uses the familiar IMS Grid List interface to show all drawings (e.g., CAD files, PDFs) that are assigned to an entity in IMS.

To view the Drawings main grid:

• Click Drawings on the IMS Main Menu.

If the Drawings Main Menu is not visible in IMS, you may have to enable it in My Account. To learn more, see: Navigating IMS Main Menu Items.

By default, the Drawings Main Grid displays a list of drawings ordered by name, as well as:

• The Source of the Drawing, when it has not been uploaded to IMS.

• Whether or not a Drawing has recently been updated.

• Any labels assigned to the Drawing.

• The last time the Drawing was updated.

• The Drawing Version Number.

• Sub-Source and sub-type for the drawing.

To see which Equipment a Drawing has been assigned to:

• Click the caron.

A list of the Equipment to which the Drawing has been assigned will be displayed below the Drawing Name.

Click on the drawing name to view the Drawing Details Page.

Bulk Assigning Drawings to Equipment

In addition to assigning Drawings to Entities from the Entity’s Details Page, Drawings can be assigned to Equipment in bulk.

To bulk assign Drawings to Equipment:

• Select the desired Drawing from the Drawings Grid List.

• Click Export for Import to download an MS Excel template.

• Click Here to download the Export for Import MS Excel Template.

• Fill in the Equipment Fields in the MS Excel template and save the file. Be sure to leave the Entity Type and Handle fields empty.

• Click the Bulk Import Equipment button.

Follow the instructions to complete the import and assignment.

Bulk Assigning Drawing Sub-Types

To bulk assign Drawing sub-types:

• Select the Drawings for which you want to assign sub-types.

• Click Export.

• Click Here to download the MS Excel Export for Import Template.

• Fill in the required fields.

• Click the Import button.

Follow the instructions to complete the sub-type assignment.
