Flange-FLOCs can be created in two ways:
Single Creation (user interface); or
Multiple Creation (import wizard – bulk upload). See below.
Creating Individual Flange-FLOCs
There are several places in the user interface from where you can create a single new Flange-FLOC. See the table below to learn where to create a new Flange-FLOC from:
Section | Screenshot |
---|---|
FLOC main grid (Header bar) | |
FLOC details page for a Level 4 FLOC:
The FLOC from which you create the Flange-FLOC will be the Parent FLOC (FLOC 1). |
To create the Flange-FLOC:
Click + to create a new Flange-FLOC.
Enter the required data in the pop-up window. See the table below. Note: Fields in yellow are mandatory and fields in blue are recommended.
Click Save when done.
Note: When a Flange-FLOC is created, IMS recognizes which Locations and Equipment are connected with the Flange, but most of the specifications are not inherited from the Equipment that it is connected to. Only Operating Temperature and Pipe Size is inherited. The specifications for the Flange connection must be entered manually.
