The Details Page is where the item is defined in more detail. Child objects can often also be created from here.
Opening a Details Page
You can open an item's Details Page by clicking the blue hyperlink of that item - in either a Main Screen (Grid List) or on another Details Page. For example, in the FLOC Main Screen, click on a link in the Floc ID column to open the details for that FLOC.
The details are shown as a page on top of the Main Screen (Grid List). To go back to the Main Screen (Grid List), just click somewhere on the Main Screen (Grid List) page, which is still behind the Details Page, or select it from the menu again.
Header
The header of the detail page shows the name of the item (e.g. FLOC, Equipment, Circuit, etc.) and several navigation options. Not all below options are available for all Details Pages. The Details Page icons:
Icon | Action | Description |
---|---|---|
Item Name | The Unique name of the item. | |
Active | If there is a green underline for the item name, it means the item is active. Inactive will show as “grey”. | |
Navigation | The Navigation items are not always available on the Page. It depends on the item, e.g. FLOC, Equipment, Circuit, etc. | |
Event History | The Event History is the captured changes made in IMS by the specific users. Click to see the list of events that has been performed for this item. | |
RBI | (Only PEI) Redirects to the RBI window in which all RBI Analyses are shown for available Component-Degradation Mechanisms for this item. | |
S-IDAP | (Only PEI) S-IDAP opens the trending and corrosion summary. | |
Create Measurement Set | (Only PEI) View or create Measurement Sets (MSs) for selected scope. | |
Create Measurement Set | (Only PEI) Create MS and add CMLs to the set. | |
| Start EVA analysis | (Only PEI) This open the EVA page. The button is only available when EVA is activated for the Circuit. In this case it is then still only enabled for Equipment Groups Exchanger and Bundle. |
Actions | ||
QR Code export | Mainly applicable to Equipment Details Pages. Click do download the QR code. Downloaded QR codes are in .png format with a transparent background. | |
Seamie helper | On the detail screen a helper is available to lead the user through the important parts of every screen. Click on the helper icon, and IMS will briefly explain the important fields. | |
Pin | The "Pin" feature allows you to pin down all related objects (e.g., FLOC, Equipment, ECH) based on this record (e.g., Schedule). Via pinning the selected record – e.g., a Schedule - can be retained in IMS while stepping through the Main Screen tabs, the data related to just this pinned record will be shown. This makes it easy to see and find all related objects to the record. | |
Reports | ||
Action items | Add view and manage action items. | |
Dock | Freeze the details section to the top when scrolling down. | |
Print specific sections of the page, click on the button to select sections you wish to add to the print. | ||
| Previous and Next | Navigation feature for moving to a previous and next record from the overview. |
Revision Button
All changes made by users are visible when clicking on the Revision button. It is applicable to the Details section, but also other Rich text default sections, like the Narrative.
Rich Text Default
For some Detail Page sections, IMS offers the possibility to define rich text defaults. This default text can be defined in Settings\Maintenance\Common Data\Rich Text Default. See Common Data Settings.
You can also define a default text directly from the section in the Detail Page's window, e.g. the Narrative section on the FLOC Details Page:
Click Edit.
Click Add new default.
When default text has been defined for a section, this text is available to be selected when Editing the item's section. To do this:
Click Edit (if not already in Edit mode).
Select the default text from the drop-down.
Click Insert default text.
Specs Section
Most Details Pages have a Specs section that stores the relevant Specifications. For example, the Specs section of the Equipment Details Page stores the asset integrity data for the Equipment, such as specific operating parameters, start date, design pressure, operating temperature, and fluid type. Specifications are configured for all levels of hierarchy (Locations, Equipment, Components, Circuits and CMLs) and are also based on the Location/ Equipment/ Component/ Circuit Type. For Example, in the case of the Equipment Details Page, the available Specs depend on the Equipment group (e.g. AIRCOOLER, BOILER, VESSEL, PIPE). This configuration is done in Settings. You can see it in Settings \ Maintenance \ Configuration \ Configuration per Hierarchy Type.
The table below explains this data grid.
Circuit Specs grid:
Column | Description |
---|---|
Category | Merged cell for all specifications (names) within the category (e.g. GENERAL, PED, RBI, TUBES). |
Name | Specifications (“Spec names”) have been configured for all levels of hierarchy (Locations, Equipment, Components, Circuits and CMLs) and by Location/ Equipment/ Component/ Circuit Type. |
Qualifier | Specific Qualifier for each Spec name. Each spec-qualifier can have a separate value. Example: Specname: DESIGN PRESSURE Qualifiers: ACTUAL, EXTERNAL, MAWP N&C |
UoM | Units of Measures displays the available Units of Measures for the Spec. Note: The light blue background is specific for the system defined UoMs and indicates the UoM the Spec was originally imported in. |
Value | Value for the specification can be
|
This button can be used to add a second value to a spec. | |
As soon as a value has been added for the Spec, a notes button will appear. Click on it to add notes, including photos and other attachments. When one or more notes have already been added, the notes button will become blue and indicate the number of notes. In addition, a smaller number (in a circle) will indicate the number of attachments. | |
Inherit | The icon shows whether the data has been inherited from the parent. In edit mode the Inherit from its parent can be enabled/disabled. When enabled and the value of the parent (e.g. FLOC) changes, the value for the child (e.g. Equipment) changes automatically. |
Click the blue plus button in the top right to add a Process Mode. |
Adding Specs
To add Specs:
Click Edit.
Use the search function or check one of the filters to find specific specs.
When done, click Approve to Approve the Specs. Note: By default the Spec Approvals feature is not enabled. This can be enabled with the Application Setting "ShowSpecApproval". If this is needed contact your Focal Point.
For more information on Approval see IMS Approvals.
Inheriting Specs
When also present on the parent Specs can be inherited. For instance, some Equipment Specifications can be inherited from the parent, i.e., FLOC. If a spec is being inherited the Inherit column will show in read mode and the Spec value will continually be aligned with the parent Specs.
To activate the inheritance:
Click Edit.
Check Inherit.
All available Specs on the parent will then be inherited.
Per inherited Spec, check / uncheck its Inherit box to enable / disable the inheritance. Note: If a Specs on the parent FLOC has no value, then the box will be disabled.
The tables below explains the Inherit column icons.
Inherit column icons when in Edit mode:
Inherit icon | Description |
---|---|
The spec is also on the parent level, but there is no value filled in on parent level to inherit. | |
Inherit is enabled but not selected. If white, you can check it to make the child inherit the Spec value from the parent. | |
Inherit is enabled and selected. For instance, for an Equipment: When the Spec value changes on the parent FLOC, the value for this Equipment Spec will be updated automatically. You can uncheck to disable the inheritance. | |
This Spec is not on the parent level. It is thus not possible to enable or disable Inherit. |
Inherit column icons when in read mode:
Inherit icon | Description |
---|---|
Spec inherited from the parent. | |
Spec not inherited from the parent. |
Inheriting by default
Specs can be inherited by default from its parent. This is configured in Settings (see Application Settings).
