This online manual explains the Equipment in IMS:
- How to interpret and use the Equipment Main Screen (Grid List).
- How to interpret and use the Equipment Details Page.
- How to create a new Equipment.
- How Tank Equipment works.
In PEI Hierarchy - Overview you can see a visual depiction of this Hierarchy. Have a look to see where Equipment fits in!
The FLOC typically have specific operating parameters: flow rates, temperatures, pressures, fluid composition. Generally, each FLOC has one child, which is a piece of Equipment (with an Equipment ID). Some FLOCs cover more than one Equipment group, e.g. For Exchangers-FLOCs two separate pieces of Equipment can be assigned: a Bundle and an Exchanger. The Equipment in turn might contain Circuits and/or Components. Some data will or can be inherited from a higher level (e.g., Inspection Reason is inherited from the FLOC down to Equipment and Circuits).
Equipment is registered in the Equipment Main Screen (see Creating new PEI Equipment).
The Equipment Main screen shows an overview grid, with a list of Equipment (see PEI Equipment - Main Screen). The Equipment Details Page is where the Equipment is defined. From here Components, etc. can be added to the Equipment (see PEI Equipment - Details Page).
Tank Equipment works a bit different to other PEI Equipment. For more information see Tank Equipment.
