Click on the Settings button to modify the grid.

Equipment Menu Toolbar

There are several shortcuts or available features that the Equipment toolbar can be used for. For more information see IMS Main Screen (Grid List).

Equipment Grid

The Equipment overview grid includes both an expanded and a collapsed view for each piece of equipment. All design data and results can be shown in the grid.

See the default Equipment data in the Equipment record in the table below:

Field/Column

Description

Status

The traffic light status, for pipelines and flowlines see the RBA user manual.

PE Status

The pipeline element status, a black circle around the colour means that elements have been approved by someone, a little red dot means one or more elements have a Next Inspection Date. (Although the Pipeline Elements feature has been deprecated, the status of existing Pipeline Elements is displayed in this column.)

Data Status

The data completeness status. The icon  will be shown if one of the Warning columns for FFS, IC, EC, RBA, or Length is ticked or the Action column is marked "Needed".

The Data Status will only be verified for pipelines and flowlines, not yet for the other Equipment Groups.

Active

The Active flag shows for each Equipment whether it is active or inactive:

 Active Equipment

 Inactive Equipment

Equipment ID

Name of the Equipment, click on the Equipment ID to open the Equipment details.

Description

Short Description of the selected Equipment.

RBA

If the integrity status has been overwritten an "!" will be shown in this column. See

FFS D-M

In this column, a D=Dig up will be shown if the last FFS run is a dig-up. M=Material grade, an M will be shown if the material grade is X70 or X80.

LID

LID (last inspection date) is the last date when an ILI (IP) run was performed.

NID

The (Next Inspection Date) is calculated in the RBA module. An "!" will show if it has been overwritten.

Unit

Unit to which the Equipment is assigned.

Equipment Group

Equipment type (see Appendix 1 for a full list of available Equipment types).

Equipment Class

Shows the Class of the Equipment (i.e. PIPELINE; DYNAMIC RISER; SUBSEA MANIFOLD).

Remaining Life

(Earliest) Remnant Life date for all assigned Equipment Schedules.

Data Status

The data completeness status. The icon  will be shown if:

  • FFS warning is checked or IC warning is checked or EC warning is checked or RBA warning is checked or Length warning is checked or Action is different than Not Needed.

The data status will only be verified for Pipelines and Flowlines, not yet for the other Equipment groups.

Last FFS

Shows the last FFS date, no color. Note: The ECH should be Final approved otherwise the date can be empty.

FFS Analysis

If there is an FFS warning. FFS not analyzed or Pipeline length has changed after the analysis or the design parameters nominal wall thickness, material grade, design factor or diameter. FFS inspection after analysis.

Last IC Assessment

The last valid internal corrosion assessment date. Data is valid if the past and future corrosion rates are both greater than zero. The cell will be colored red if

  • There is an IC warning.

  • The data is not valid for the last assessment date.

  • No valid data at all.

  • The assessment date is before the Last FFS date.

Last EC Assessment

The last valid internal corrosion assessment date. Data is valid if the past and future corrosion rates are both greater than zero. The cell will be colored red if

  • There is an IC warning.

  • The data is not valid for the Last Assessment Date.

  • No valid data at all.

  • The assessment date is before the Last FFS Date.

Int. Conf.

The result of internal Confidence Rating (L, M, H, VH). The cell will be colored red if the confidence rating has not been performed.

Ext. Conf.

The result of external Confidence Rating (L, M, H, VH). The cell will be colored red if the confidence rating has not been performed.

RBA Assessment date

The date of the RBA Assessment after user has filled in the confidence rating and Strategy. The cell will be colored red if:

  • The last IC or last EC assessment cell is red.

  • The strategy has not been specified.

  • The internal or external confidence rating has not been filled in.

Strategy

The user selected strategy, Design Intent, Extended life, or Fit for Purpose. If the strategy field is empty in the RBA module the string will be Not defined and the cell will be colored red.

Action

The required action if one of the cells is red. The string can be:

  • Empty, then data complete.

FFS Warning

Warning string, from the FFS module, can be:

  • Empty, no data, or the ECH is still in Draft mode.

  • FFS not analyzed, one of the rows in the inspection grid has not been Analysed, can be first but also one of the others.

  • If one of the design parameters has changed (e.g. nominal wall thickness, material grade, design factor, or diameter) then after a few years the FFS data will be analyzed or re-calculated automatically. However, if you have a few older pipelines, or if there are data issues then it is possible that you will see a design parameter name in this box. In this case, investigate what is going on and (try) to resolve the issue.

  • if the Pipeline length parameter is changed, in the design data or sectioning, then always the message "Pipeline Length" will be shown. To remove the message the Analyse button in the FFS module should be clicked. (Note that in this case, it would be good to also review the sectioning in the internal and external corrosion assessment.)

IC Warning

Warning string, from the Internal corrosion module, can be:

  • No Assessment, no Past CR on the last Assessment, no Future CR on the last Assessment

  • No Last IC Assessment date.

  • FFS after IC, FFS data imported and analyzed after the Last Internal Corrosion Assessment date. Normally, after new FFS data has been entered an update will take place on internal and external Corrosion Rate Assessment.

  • Service type, if the service type data has changed after the Last IC Assessment, a warning will be shown. Probably you have to review the Hydrocor case.

  • CR last assessment date is not valid, the Past and/or Future Corrosion Rate for the Last Assessment date is not specified or not greater than zero.

  • Not all CRs valid, one or more Past and/or Future Corrosion Rates before the Last Assessment date are not valid.

  • No Past CR on Assessment, one or more Past Corrosion Rates are missing or equal to zero.

  • No Future CR on Assessment, one or more Future Corrosion Rates are missing or equal to zero.

EC Warning

Warning string, from External corrosion module, can be:

  • No Assessment, no Past CR on the Last Assessment, no Future CR on the Last Assessment.

  • FFS after EC, FFS data imported and analyzed after the Last EC Assessment date. Normally, after new FFS data has been entered an update should take place on internal and external Corrosion Rate Assessment.

  • If CP, Coating, and Joint coating have changed after the last EC date, then this will be shown as a warning.

  • If the section Testpost, Soil, and/or Coating has changed after the last EC date, then this will be shown as a warning.

  • CR Last Assessment date is not valid, the Past and/or Future Corrosion Rates for the last assessment date are not specified or not greater than zero.

  • Not all CRs valid, one or more Past and/or Future Corrosion Rates before the Last Assessment date are or are not valid.

  • No Past CR on Assessment, one or more Past Corrosion Rates are missing or equal to zero.

  • No Future CR on Assessment, one or more Future Corrosion Rates are missing or equal to zero.

RBA Warning

An RBA-related warning.

  • If there is no RBA Assessment date.

  • If there is no last IC or EC Assessment.

  • If Strategy is not defined.

  • If the Consequence of Failure (section) has changed after the Last RBA Assessment date.

  • If the Method is empty.

Length Warning

A warning if one of the Sections has a length greater than the length specified in the Design Data. Checks:

  • Pipe data

Filtering Equipment

From the Equipment Main Screen (Grid View), several filters can be used to drill down the search results for the shown list of Equipment.

To filter a list:

  • Click on the Filter button.

  • Check the filters that you want to use.

  • Click Show ? matching Equipment….

Click the Filter button and select the desired filters.
