Article summary

Take Note
This article will explain how to list when changes were made to RCM analyses and by who.

In IMS there are two standard ways to list the RCM activities that have been done over time. Alternatively, if the list is long, a Query can be used.

Standard Methods

Option 1: In the Systems List Main Screen grid the column #ALHY shows: Number of Analyses Done Last Half Year.

For example: In the fist system shown here there are 4 Flocs, 4 FM's and 2 Analyses Done Last Half Year:

Option 2: Look at the Floc/Eq detail - and Event history.

Example: For Pump001, 10 events are listed - all on 3 aug. 2022:

Note: You can export the Event history to Excel, if the list is (too) long.

Take Note
These methods are ineffective if you would like to list a large set of RCM changes.

Using a Query

If you would like to list a large set of RCM changes, a Query is recommended. Below video shows - step-by-step - how to create this Query, starting with [+] in the Custom Reports Main Screen:

To create the Query:

  • Go to the Custom Reports Main Screen.
  • Click [+].
  • Enter the Query Name: "RCM Analyses changes".
  • Select the Base View: "RBITagAnalysis".
  • Then select these objects:
    • Floc
    • Equipment
    • CMMS type
    • Equipment group
    • Location Type
    • vwRCMSitePlantUnit
    • Failure Mode
  • Select the following fields for the objects:

  • Select the following criteria for the fields - by clicking [+]:

Note: Active Equipment may be removed - if not needed, click [x].

Take Note
Having the criteria on the "RCMFunctinalFailureID" ≠ 0 is essential for the performance of this Query.

In the end - the output can show a lot of changes and look like:

To create, modify and manage Queries also see Custom Queries Editor.

To list Analyses changes and - separately Task changes the following query is recommended:

This output looks like this:

Note: some text changes in the Task might not be seen as Analyses change.
