Version 3.13A brings a new protocol main view, new user roles, a new speedy bolting pattern and a strategy field… ## New protocol main screen IMSFB-15163 The new protocol view enables job progress tracking, per individual joint. The protocol is created when a flange is added to the job scope. It represents the job that needs to be done for that individual flange, which forms part of the overall job scope. ![Graphical user interface, application, table, Excel Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.13a-image-8o5a8jdu.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T15%3A22%3A31Z&se=2026-10-28T16%3A22%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=PEpzmVpmC950fmyJc3g5HTMaFHzr%2FDyv9VxyW6h%2BgSk%3D)Figure 1: New protocol main view This new view can help you to answer questions like: - How many flanges are scheduled for turnaround? - How many flanges, scheduled for turnaround, are blinded? - Which flanges are disassembled, and which are critical? - How many flanges still need assembly? - Which flanges must be hot torqued? - On which joints were issues found during inspections? - Who is responsible for joints in scope and who reviewed the job? All these questions can be answered by using the filters in this main view. Also, with the new dashboards, job progress tracking, in combination with protocol view, is easy. In addition to filtering, the new view also enables printing tags and protocol for each individual flange in a job, not just for the full job scope. When the protocol details page is opened, FCM will give a detailed overview of the flange and job information, and any related attachments. In cases where a Condition history was created for the job, the protocol also shows the usual questionnaire for that specific flange. ![Graphical user interface, application Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.13a-image-gy9mucmn.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T15%3A22%3A31Z&se=2026-10-28T16%3A22%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=PEpzmVpmC950fmyJc3g5HTMaFHzr%2FDyv9VxyW6h%2BgSk%3D)Figure 2: Protocol details view The protocol view is also tablet friendly. All the important protocol information is shown on the card itself. This makes gathering inspection information in the field easy! ![Graphical user interface, text, application Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.13a-image-tj36mnx4.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T15%3A22%3A31Z&se=2026-10-28T16%3A22%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=PEpzmVpmC950fmyJc3g5HTMaFHzr%2FDyv9VxyW6h%2BgSk%3D)Figure 3: Protocol card in tablet view  ## New roles: FCM Planner and FCM Field Execution IMSFB-11052 To fine tune IMS FCM access, two new roles were created for the FCM module: FCM Planner and FCM Field Execution. As the name may suggest, the FCM Planner can edit FLANGE-FLOCs and FLANGE or GRAYLOC equipment, to plan future jobs, by creating jobs and opening condition histories. A user with the FCM Field Execution role can execute the planned work, by creating Condition histories and editing protocols. In total there are now four FCM roles. The FCM General and FCM Viewer role already existed. ![Table Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.13a-image-88qgelmu.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T15%3A22%3A31Z&se=2026-10-28T16%3A22%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=PEpzmVpmC950fmyJc3g5HTMaFHzr%2FDyv9VxyW6h%2BgSk%3D)Figure 4: FCM role overview  ## Speedy bolting pattern IMSFB-14543 Until now, FCM only supported the four-step bolting pattern, requiring 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% tightening values in the Condition history. For the new speedy bolting pattern, FCM now also supports the three-steps pattern, requiring 30%, 70% and 100% tightening values in the Condition history. This is based on the application setting for the site level. Every site can decide which pattern will be used for newly created Condition histories. The application setting does not impact older Condition histories, only the newly created ones. ![Graphical user interface, application, website Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.13a-image-5az57gf4.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T15%3A22%3A31Z&se=2026-10-28T16%3A22%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=PEpzmVpmC950fmyJc3g5HTMaFHzr%2FDyv9VxyW6h%2BgSk%3D)Figure 5: Speedy bolting pattern on the Condition history  ## Tracking flanges with cathodic protection isolation kits IMSFB-13899 To track flanges with cathodic protection isolation kits, the flange design section, on the equipment, now has a new “Isolation” field. Also, the equipment grid now has a new filter: Isolation. ![Graphical user interface, application Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.13a-image-mvemwsqu.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T15%3A22%3A31Z&se=2026-10-28T16%3A22%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=PEpzmVpmC950fmyJc3g5HTMaFHzr%2FDyv9VxyW6h%2BgSk%3D)Figure 6: Isolation filter on equipment main grid ## Capturing flange location while in the field IMSFB-15466 On the Condition history, as well as on the new protocol, a new location button was added. When you click this, FCM will try to capture your current location, based on your browser or device. When you are using IMS FCM on an iPad, to perform an inspection in the field, you can use this functionality to capture the location of a flange connection. The location information will be stored on the connection itself, so that location will then be available for all future inspections. Once the location is saved, FCM will show you the saved location when you click the button. If needed, the location can be fine-tuned, by editing it. NOTE: To use this functionality, your browser must have permission to access your location. ![Graphical user interface, text, application, email Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.13a-image-nm4ak78v.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T15%3A22%3A31Z&se=2026-10-28T16%3A22%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=PEpzmVpmC950fmyJc3g5HTMaFHzr%2FDyv9VxyW6h%2BgSk%3D)Figure 7: Location marker on the protocol and condition history  ## Capturing specific strategy notes for a connection IMSFB-15766 Every flange and grayloc equipment now have a “Strategy” field in the equipment details screen. You can use this strategy field to capture specific notes for the connection, relevant to performing a job. When creating a job, the strategy defined on the equipment will be copied over to the newly created job. If needed, the strategy on the job can then be edited and adjusted, but the original captured comment on the equipment will remain intact. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/image-1643010316974.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T15%3A22%3A31Z&se=2026-10-28T16%3A22%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=PEpzmVpmC950fmyJc3g5HTMaFHzr%2FDyv9VxyW6h%2BgSk%3D)Figure 8: Strategy field on equipment and job  ## Highlighting flange design calculation inputs IMSFB-15401, IMSFB-15471 To enhance the new flange calculation inputs, additional buttons are now available. They can be used to highlight the fields that are relevant for each specific calculation: ASME Section VIII; WRC538; or PCC-1. By default, only the “recommended” group of inputs is highlighted. ![Graphical user interface, application, email Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.13a-image-4m6u0oi1.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T15%3A22%3A31Z&se=2026-10-28T16%3A22%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=PEpzmVpmC950fmyJc3g5HTMaFHzr%2FDyv9VxyW6h%2BgSk%3D)Figure 9: Recommended fields for the ASME Section VIII Flange design calculations are highlighted ## Suggested stud size shown when deviating from lookup IMSFB-9231 IMS FCM uses the Flange bolting information table, in Appendix L - ASME B16.5, to determine the suggested “Stud Size”, based on the “Flange Size” and “Class Rating”. This “Stud Size” value can be overridden, but FCM will then show the original suggested value, based on the lookup table. ![Graphical user interface, text, application, email Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.13a-image-xhn74q2f.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T15%3A22%3A31Z&se=2026-10-28T16%3A22%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=PEpzmVpmC950fmyJc3g5HTMaFHzr%2FDyv9VxyW6h%2BgSk%3D)Figure 10: Showing suggested stud size when stud size does not match the lookup table ## Other improvements ### 1. Torque calc independent from “Bolt Tensile Stress Area” calc IMSFB-15741 Previously, the “Bolt Tensile Stress Area” calculated from the “Flange Size” was always used in the Torque and Tensions calcs. Now, the “Bolt Tensile Stress Area” has become a direct input to the Torque and Tensions calcs, rather than “Flange Size”. This way also a user inputted “Bolt Tensile Stress Area” is supported. ### 2. Manage protocols from job scope screen To manage job scopes more easily, protocols can now be exported, deleted, and printed, from the job scope screen. This way you can cherry-pick which protocols to delete or print, and so get your job in the right shape. ![Graphical user interface, application, Teams Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.13a-image-eb12aqg7.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T15%3A22%3A31Z&se=2026-10-28T16%3A22%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=PEpzmVpmC950fmyJc3g5HTMaFHzr%2FDyv9VxyW6h%2BgSk%3D)Figure 11: New options on Job scope section
