Version 3.14 brings new admin role to the FCM, more control over jobs and flanges in it. It is also coming with offline capability, dynamic forms and connecting to the Bluetooth torque wrenches. ## Capture torque values of every stud FCM now allows you to capture applied torque value of every stud. In Condition history protocols, you can find a button saying “Capture Every Stud”. By clicking on it, FCM will show you interface to capture torque values for every stud. FCM can show you the patterns, highlight when you are in allowed range (green), below the target (orange) and when you did over torque (red). ![Chart Description automatically generated with low confidence](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.14-image-x5tjejz1.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T16%3A02%3A30Z&se=2026-10-28T17%3A02%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=fOTzG3QrOQTTrT6EJ4ODCS611EV3WqMEDbsWwakif3s%3D)Figure 1: Capturing applied torque values for every stud in FCM  FCM supports 3 different patterns. When internet connectivity is available, IMS will take all the recorded and generated data from the app and send it to back to the IMS the central database, storing your results safely in the cloud. To achieve this, IMS uses the device memory to store data, instead of the regular database on the web server. Thus, to use IMS offline, an IMS app for tablets needs to be installed, which provides access to the device memory. Detailed instructions will be provided in a new manual. ### 1. Activating offline work Offline mode needs to be activated for the site before it can be used. This is done by raising a request via the IMS Feedback Button and will show in the application setting: ”EnableTakeOffline”. ### 2. Taking Job(s) offline Offline mode is used when an activity needs to be performed in the field. Thus, FCM in offline mode supports taking Jobs and Condition Histories offline. To take a Job or Condition History offline (or multiple instances thereof) click on the offline icon in the Jobs / Condition History Main Screen toolbar (or in the Details Screen). IMS will then capture the scope of work (Flanges, Jobs, Condition Histories) and lock these items so that they cannot be edited, to prevent any data conflicts during the process. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.14-image-hauwdt16.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T16%3A02%3A30Z&se=2026-10-28T17%3A02%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=fOTzG3QrOQTTrT6EJ4ODCS611EV3WqMEDbsWwakif3s%3D)Taking Jobs offline  ### 3. Opening FCM offline To use FCM without an internet connection, an app needs to be installed on the device. This app enables IMS to use the device’s local storage instead of the regular database. When opening the app, user must login and select a site. This part needs to be done while the internet connection is still available. The username and the password are the same as in the regular IMS. If you are using single-sign-on, IMS will ask you to setup a password to use in this case. Once you log in, IMS will start downloading your scope of work, making it available for the offline use. ### 4. Basic navigation and instructions Navigation in IMS offline mode is like navigating in IMS online mode. However, several restrictions were added to support working without internet or a server connection. Everything starts with a dashboard, which provides an overview of the offline usage and menus. ### 5. Available features and limitations in offline mode The following screens and actions are available in offline mode: - Flange details screen (equipment details and equipment specs); - Viewing Jobs and Protocols; - Creating Condition History; - Filling in the Protocol and tracking progress; - Adding attachments. Restrictions in offline mode are: - Only simple filters are available; - The toolbar is reduced; - ECH is kept in DRAFT and cannot be approved; - The hierarchy filtering is not available. ### 6. Taking jobs offline for others IMSFB-26440 Until now, taking items offline was possible only for yourself. As of 3.14, offline scopes can also be made for others. When clicked on a the offline button, FCM asks you to specify if you or someone else wants to take job offline. If it is for someone else, FCM shows the list of FCM users which can take jobs offline. Once selected, that user will get the offline scope. ![Graphical user interface, text, application Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.14-image-ytt41q2w.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T16%3A02%3A30Z&se=2026-10-28T17%3A02%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=fOTzG3QrOQTTrT6EJ4ODCS611EV3WqMEDbsWwakif3s%3D)Figure 4: Taking items offline for other users  ### 7. Overview of offline items To keep control over offline items, use Settings Taken offline. An overview of all offline equipment is available, both current and previous offline scopes. From there, admins can unlock items and keep an overview of all offline scopes. ![Graphical user interface, text, application, email Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.14-image-m0n4r2vb.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T16%3A02%3A30Z&se=2026-10-28T17%3A02%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=fOTzG3QrOQTTrT6EJ4ODCS611EV3WqMEDbsWwakif3s%3D)Figure 5: Overview of offline equipment in the settings ## Connecting with a torque wrench FCM now can communicate with torque wrenches to capture the torque value of every stud. By using IMS FCM Offline mode on a tablet device, FCM can connect to a torque wrench with Bluetooth connectivity via tablet. FCM then can send the calculated torque thresholds to the torque wrench and receive back the torque applied to each stud. Everything is done automatically so new thresholds are sent on every step of the bolting pattern. Besides that, FCM shows the model of the flange based on existing information about the number of studs. It also shows the torquing pattern (regular 3 steps, regular 4 steps and speedy pattern for flanges with 24 or more studs). It also highlights over torquing and under torquing. This capability to highlight over or under torquing can also be used without a Bluetooth torque wrench connectivity when torque values are entered manually. - Software requirements: - IMS version 3.14 or latter with enabled FCM module - IMS Offline Mode iOS app version 3.14 or latter - Tablet device - Tablet device with low-energy Bluetooth connectivity (Bluetooth 4.2 or Bluetooth 5.0) - iPadOS 14.7, iPadOS 15.1 or greater - For example Apple iPad mini (2019) or Apple iPad 10.2 (2020) - Manual Digital Bluetooth Torque Wrench - Snap-On CTECH W1UA135 6.8-135 Nm - Snap-On CTECH W1UB400 20-400 Nm - Similar Snap-On Torque Wrenches with Bluetooth connectivity (Bluetooth 4.2 or Bluetooth 5.0) ![Graphical user interface Description automatically generated with medium confidence](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.14-image-y6u51dks.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T16%3A02%3A30Z&se=2026-10-28T17%3A02%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=fOTzG3QrOQTTrT6EJ4ODCS611EV3WqMEDbsWwakif3s%3D)Figure 6: Interaction with FCM and torque wrench  ## New FCM ADMIN role IMSFB-27090 For transparency reasons, as well as to enable a broader user control, FCM now includes an ADMIN role. This role is based on the existing FCM GENERAL role in terms of the existing rights, but with additional configurational rights, such as creating FLANGE-FLOCs and user administration. Both these configuration rights (creating Flocs and users) are from now on disabled for the existing FCM General role. FCM now has the following user role setup: - FCM ADMIN – general rights with FLOC and user control - FCM GENERAL – managing FLOC, equipment, Jobs and Cond. History - FCM PLANNER – creating and managing Jobs and Condition Histories - FCM FIELD EXECUTION – closing Jobs with Condition Histories - FCM VIEWER – no edit rights, only viewing everything in FCM ![Table Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.14-image-70chemv2.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T16%3A02%3A30Z&se=2026-10-28T17%3A02%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=fOTzG3QrOQTTrT6EJ4ODCS611EV3WqMEDbsWwakif3s%3D)Figure 7: Overview of roles and their rights in FCM  ## Locking Flange Design IMSFB-27091 Invested quite some effort in your flange design and you do not want to be edited by others? Lock your flange design with a click! By locking flange design, only you can edit it. This functionality is available for FCM ADMIN and FCM GENERAL role. The admin role can override the lock of others but other roles will not be able to change the flange design except yourself. To lock the design, just click on new lock icon. Same for unlocking when you do not want to keep it locked anymore. ![Graphical user interface, text Description automatically generated with medium confidence](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.14-image-ca6sytwo.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T16%3A02%3A30Z&se=2026-10-28T17%3A02%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=fOTzG3QrOQTTrT6EJ4ODCS611EV3WqMEDbsWwakif3s%3D)Figure 8: Locked Flange Design  ## Support for dynamic forms for Condition histories and protocols IMSFB-26125 As of version 3.14, FCM supports dynamic forms. Dynamic forms can be used to configure custom Checklists for Protocols. ![Graphical user interface, application Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.14-image-vhs61ulr.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T16%3A02%3A30Z&se=2026-10-28T17%3A02%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=fOTzG3QrOQTTrT6EJ4ODCS611EV3WqMEDbsWwakif3s%3D) ## Adjusted formula from ASME PCC-1, Step 1 IMSFB-25937 FCM is intended to follow the standard calculation for ASME PCC-1. For this reason, the Step 1 (determine Target Bolt Stress) calculation has been updated to be aligned with the following equation: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/pic%201(339).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T16%3A02%3A30Z&se=2026-10-28T17%3A02%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=fOTzG3QrOQTTrT6EJ4ODCS611EV3WqMEDbsWwakif3s%3D) Take note that the Target Gasket Stress (Sgt), which is a user input, is now an input for the Target Bolt Stress (Sbsel) calculation. ## Labels on jobs also visible on condition histories IMSFB-26570 Labels are a great way to mark and group the Jobs that you need. Once the Jobs are ready, the same information is often needed in the Condition History grid. That is why FCM is now making the labels from the Jobs visible in Condition History grid (as shown in Figure 7). It is not just visible in the grid, but also on the Details Page, and as a filter. This way you can group Condition Histories in the same way as you would group Jobs (as shown on Figure 8). ![Job labels visible on condition history grid](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.14-image-8fc9mwie.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T16%3A02%3A30Z&se=2026-10-28T17%3A02%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=fOTzG3QrOQTTrT6EJ4ODCS611EV3WqMEDbsWwakif3s%3D)Figure 9: Job labels visible in the Condition History grid. ![Job labels available as a filter](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.14-image-pczwduzh.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T16%3A02%3A30Z&se=2026-10-28T17%3A02%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=fOTzG3QrOQTTrT6EJ4ODCS611EV3WqMEDbsWwakif3s%3D)Figure 10: Job labels available as a filter  ## Track detailed completeness of Condition Histories IMSFB-25573 It adds value to track the execution of your Jobs in detail. Therefore, FCM now also shows granular completeness in the Condition History Main Screen (grid). From here, you can see the number of completed protocols within each Condition History (as shown on Figure 9). In addition to the completeness on the Condition History grid, FCM also supports tracking completeness on the protocol level. On the Protocol Main Screen (grid), the Completeness column shows the number of completed steps out of the total. ![A picture containing table Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.14-image-u42zt7a0.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T16%3A02%3A30Z&se=2026-10-28T17%3A02%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=fOTzG3QrOQTTrT6EJ4ODCS611EV3WqMEDbsWwakif3s%3D)Figure 11: Completeness shown in the Condition History grid. ## Filling up applied torque value when “all acceptable” is clicked IMSFB-19360 While performing a detailed protocol inspection, FCM gives you the opportunity to capture the applied torque values in the protocol. In most of the cases, the applied values are the same as calculated, so FCM now directly applies the calculated values for a faster and easier closing of the protocol. The values can however still be manually adjusted and corrected. In the case when all values are the same, FCM will show a warning to tell the user that the values may not have be manually entered but automatically applied. ![Graphical user interface, application, Teams Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.14-image-79wf5gbg.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T16%3A02%3A30Z&se=2026-10-28T17%3A02%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=fOTzG3QrOQTTrT6EJ4ODCS611EV3WqMEDbsWwakif3s%3D)Figure 12: Prefilled torque values and warning message in protocol  ## Showing FLANGE-FLOC and its description on the protocol main grid IMSFB-26835 FCM now shows more information on the Protocol main grid. Find FLANGE-FLOC names and their description of Flanges in Jobs. This way you can easily create an export with all the relevant information in an excel sheet, and distribute it to the contractors. ## New logic for nut factor IMSFB-25783 From version 3.14 onwards, FCM will no longer suggest a default value for Nut Factor, as was done previously. Until a Nut Factor is defined, an information message will be shown (see Figure 11), encouraging users to define the Nut Factor by themselves. *“Please consider the condition of the bolts and nuts (i.e. new bolts versus re-use of existing bolts), the type of lubricant applied, and the criticality of the application, as these factors may require use of a different K factor when determining the target torque value.”* ![Graphical user interface, text, application Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/fcm-release-3.14-image-xnpwqcbz.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T16%3A02%3A30Z&se=2026-10-28T17%3A02%3A30Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=fOTzG3QrOQTTrT6EJ4ODCS611EV3WqMEDbsWwakif3s%3D)Figure 13: Nut factor field with message.  ## Showing appropriate Flange Sizes depending on a Flange standard IMSFB-20446 The Flange Standard is now the first field that needs to be entered in the Flange Design section. The selected Flange Standard will determine which specific Flanges are (or are not) available to select. If the selected Flange Standard is “ASME B16.47A”, then FCM will only show Flange Sizes between NPS 26 and NPS 60.
