Article summary

It is possible to add a filter in a a grid column. This is set up as a Query and enables more powerful filtering.

To create a column filter:

  • Click in the column header to show the Filter button.
  • Click on the Filter button.
  • A Query screen opens and autofills the column Name in the Criteria section.

  • There is no need to fill in the top section (like Name, etc.) of the Query (unless you want to Save it to reused later).
  • Enter the selection Criteria.
  • Then click Run without saving.

Your column will be filtered according to the selection criteria set.

The below video shows how a filter is set on the RSL Number column and filters on "204.09":

Take Note:

If the FLOC grid layout is set to a Hierarchical View (instead of a Flat List) the Grid Column Filters are NOT available. To apply the Floc grid column filter, first set the view to Flat List.

Grids set to Hierarchical View show not filter option.

In the case where the Floc grid is shown in an Hierarchical View, the list is sorted by the subordinate Flocs in the next Floc level as shown in the below image.

FLOCs shown in Hierarchical View.

It makes no sense apply a filter to the list, while it is shown in Hierarchical view. To apply the Floc grid column filter, first set the view to: Flat List.

To learn more about normal filters see: IMS Main Screen (Grid List).
