Below the Schedule Lifecycle, from adding (creating) the Schedule to Approving it, is explained.
The Lifecycle Steps (Inspection and CAIR)
The lifecycle steps can be summarized as follows:
- Add (create) the Schedule.
- Specify the Schedule Scope (this is the Equipment for which the Schedule is being created).
- Enter the Plan Codes. (For a CAIR this is the Fabric Maintenance Checklist. For an Inspection this does not apply.)
- Enter a Narrative.
- Add applicable Attachments.
- Final Approve the Schedule (Scope and Plan Codes, timing, Narrative should be clear).
- Perform the FMA work / inspection.
- Credit the Schedule in the Equipment Condition History (ECH).
- Final Approve the ECH (all actions that had to be performed must completed and correct).
- The current Schedule then becomes inactive. If recurring, a new Inspection Schedule is created automatically (NID=LID+MII).
Recurring Inspection Schedules
Inspection Schedules can be set to be recurring. The Next Inspection Date (NID) will then be equal to the Last Inspection Date (LID) plus the User Interval.
The figure below illustrates how a recurring Schedule’s lifecycle will look.
