IMS Schedules and ECHs across Discipline
Take note
In this overview, the IMS Schedules and Equipment Condition Histories (ECHs) across Disciplines will be explained.
It can be beneficial to see Schedules and Equipment Condition Histories (ECHs) cross-department. For this reason, the Schedules / ECH Main Screen grids show the Schedules / ECHs from all Disciplines (PEI, Civil, FCM, TAT, FMA, PLSS). Similarly the Schedule and ECH grids on the Equipment Details Page show relevant items from all Disciplines. The ownership is defined by the Discipline field.
Take Note
You can only edit Schedules / ECHs that are owned by your Discipline.
Showing only your own Discipline's Schedules / ECHs
To see only your own Discipline's Schedules / ECHs in the Main Screen grid (or Equipment Details Page):
Click the Default Filters button.
To revert back to the default view, only showing your own Disciplines, clear the filter.
This will revert the filters back to the default state, which means only your own Discipline's Schedules / ECHs will show.
Showing Schedules / ECHs from other Disciplines
You can choose exactly which Discipline's Schedules / ECHs you see in the Main Screen grid (or Equipment Details Page):
Click the Filter button.
Scroll to the Discipline filter.
Select / Unselect the desired Disciplines.
Filtering Discipline Schedules / ECHs on the Equipment Details Page
You can also choose to see Schedules / ECHs from your Discipline only in the Schedule / ECH section on the Equipment Details page.
To see only desired Schedules / ECHs on the Equipment Details page:
Navigate to the Equipment Details page.
Scroll to the Schedule / ECH section.
Click on Filter on the right.
Click on Discipline.
Tick the checkbox of applicable Discipline, e.g. Pressure Equipment.
Take note
Once you select your filter options, IMS will memorize them and show you Schedules / ECHs filtered by your Discipline on the Equipment Details Pages of other Equipment as well. This applies to all filters, not only the Discipline filter.
Linking Schedules / ECHs to Disciplines
For Schedules and ECHs Discipline is a mandatory field. The Discipline dropdown is filled, depending on the Discipline(s) (filtered by methodology) of the User that is creating the Schedule / ECH.Discipline is a mandatory field for Schedules and ECHs,To be able to add / edit / delete a Schedule / ECH, you need to have the same Discipline as the Schedule / ECH (either explicitly, or implicitly).
Schedules from a certain Discipline can be credited only with an ECH from the same Discipline.
Linking Users to Disciplines
If a User doesn't have an explicitly selected Discipline the Discipline is implicitly selected, depending on his / her User Role (visible in the Roles Settings). However, a Discipline can also be explicitly defined for a User and for new Users this is mandatory.
Below you can see explicit Discipline mapping for a user (mandatory for new Users).
The Roles Settings show the implicitly mapped Disciplines.
