This online manual explains the Settings in IMS:
- The purpose of each IMS Settings section.
- How to use IMS Settings.
The Settings Menu is where IMS is set up. It shows which master data is configured for your Site (by Authorized users) and provides you with an easy to use tool for importing large amounts of data.
Note: Only users with CSA or INSP ADMIN roles can edit the Settings master data. Settings that cannot be changed by a user are greyed out so that the user knows which Settings he can edit and which he can only view.
Navigating to the Settings
You can enter the Setting via the top menu.
Sections
There are three main Setting sections:
- Data Transfer
- Maintenance
- Company
This online Settings user manual is structured according to these sections:
- We start with the Data Transfer Settings, which allows you to import Hierarchy objects, recalculate Circuits / S-IDAP calculation in batch mode and import reports and images.
- The section on Maintenance Settings provides you with the features to maintain and manage your master data, configure master data per hierarchy item, create and manage users, roles and approval levels.
- In the Company Settings section the Top level hierarchy (Site \ Plant \ Unit structure) and Planned Events are defined.
