Selecting RSL Tasks based on Specs - Background

What: RSL Care Strategies provide decision logic on RSLs where based on Floc and Eq data, e.g. Specs, tasks can be applied, or not.

Additionally to the Location type, Equipment group and CMMS type, also criteria from the Floc and Eq Specs can be used to steer RSL application.
If we take for example a Control Valve, the Specs can describe elements considering buildup, application and operation of the control valve:

Reliability relevant aspects regarding buildup, application and operation can involve - for instance - these Specs:

The decision logic available on the tasks can cover multiple Specs per task involving value ranges and AND/OR logic.

The Specs on the Floc and Eq can originate from a connected CMMS like SAP (interfaced) and a subset of Specs specified in IMS.

Why Client interest requested more powerful functionality to assign maintenance strategies to Floc and Equipment.
Particularly in case Floc and Eq Specs are available from for instance SAP, a more selective assignment of maintenance strategies desired.
Alternatively to apply the Selective RSL's, the specs could be used to select particular Floc/Eq and multiple individual RSL's could be assigned to the selections made.

A possible situation where a more powerful maintenance strategy assignment can be relevant is in the detailed engineering phases of capital projects, to deliver the preventive maintenance plans.
