Article summary

Configuration subsections.

Wall thickness measurements are requested per Condition Monitoring Locations (CML). Some of them might have a specific Measurement Point (MP) configuration. A MP is a location on an area on the Equipment/piping, which are called CMLs. Each CML can have multiple MPs and each Equipment/piping can have multiple CMLs. When the user wants to request wall thickness measurement, he/she must request this for a set of MPs of an Equipment, i.e. a Measurement Set (MS).

The MP Configuration section in the Settings Menu allows users to create configurations of MPs for certain CML types. This includes the selection of MPs and Matrix Locations. Recommended MPs can be added by clicking in the Position Matrix on a location. The configuration automatically assigns the Section colors to the selected Locations based on its definition in CML Types (see CML Type).

Creating new MP Configurations

To create a new MP Configuration:

  • Click +.
  • Specify the CML type, e.g. ELBOW.
  • Click Save.
  • Select the newly created MP configuration.
  • Specify the positions by selecting cells on the grid:
Define an MP configuration.

On the Circuit Details page:

  • When a new CML is created, a created MP configuration can be selected.

On the CML Details page:

  • When an existing CML edited, a created MP configuration can be selected:

Note: In this case the MPs must also be migrated to the Predefined MPs (PDMPs).

On the CML, when the MP configuration is changed for an existing CML, the MPs must be migrated to the PDMPs.
