Take Note
CIVIL module has to be impletemented per site basis before the CIVIL roles can be assigned and used.
An IMS account requires to have at least one CIVIL role assigned to allow access to the CIVIL module. Roles are assigned in Security Settings.
If multiple Roles are assigned to an account, the highest Role will grant rights. For example, if both CIVIL VIEWER and CIVIL GENERAL roles are assigned, the account rights will be those of CIVIL GENERAL.
Shared Rights
Most roles have by default access to Action items, Custom Queries, Reports, and Labels as well as the ability to edit the current account settings.
Take Note
User accounts with both PEI and CIVIL roles assigned will have a special methodlogy picker made available where it will be left to the user to decided in which module they wish to make updates. Certain rights may only be granted in the PEI module, in which case the user will need to make sure that both Include PEI and Include CIVIL are checked.
CIVIL Roles
CIVIL VIEWER - grants read-only access to the CIVIL module.
CIVIL GENERAL - grants a wide range of editing rights across the PEI module, including but not limited to editing Equipment and creating and editing Circuits, Components, ECHs, Schedules, and Specs. Only read access is granted to RBI and Corrosion Loops.
CIVIL ADMIN - grants similar rights to CIVIL GENERAL without certain limitations and with added capability in the form of Floc and Equipment creation, as well as full CIVIL RBI rights. In addition, this role has administration privileges (IMS user accounts, site settings, etc).
Take Note
FLOC and Equipment editing rights as stated above may be further limited due to Hierarchy ownership, Disciplines or the CMMS interface.
