The FLOC Main screen shows an overview grid, with a list of FLOCs
Listing FLOCs - Overview Grid
To see the list of registered FLOCs:
- Go to the IMS Main Menu.
- Click FLOC to go to the FLOC main screen.
- Use the scoping bar, the filter, or the search functionality to list the desired FLOCs.
- If desired, expand or collapse a FLOC record using respectively the and button in the record row.
- Each record shows several fields, summarizing the FLOCs (see the table below). To see more, click on the Settings icon in the toolbar and add additional fields.
Default FLOC data in the FLOC record:

HIERARCHY | RL Category | The Remnant Life icon shows the (earliest) remaining life classification for the selected FLOC: >= 2 SD intervals >= 1 and < 2 SD intervals Less than SD interval Less than 1 year remaining (SD = Shutdown = the Unit’s Turnaround date) |
Active | The Active flag shows for each FLOC whether it is active or inactive: Active FLOC Inactive FLOC | |
FLOC ID | Name of the FLOC, click on the FLOC ID to open the FLOC details. | |
FLOC Description | Short Description for the selected FLOC. | |
Location Type | Hierarchy Type for the selected FLOC (e.g. PIPE-FLOC, EXCHANGER-FLOC, TANK-FLOC). This determines Which Equipment Groups can be assigned to the FLOC. | |
Unit | Unit to which the FLOC is assigned to. | |
Inspection Reason | Inspection Reason for the FLOC. Note: The inspection reason is one of the elements that determine the time-based interval of the Equipment. It is inherited from the FLOC to the Equipment and Circuit. | |
Labels | Custom labels to add by users for each record. | |
SAP Type | The selected SAP Type, if applicable. | |
Legal/local inspection / jurisdiction | A checkmark is shown if applicable. | |
Start-up Date | The start-up date. | |
Equipment | One of Equipment ID(s) which are assigned to the FLOC. | |
Expanded View | Equipment ID | List of Equipment ID(s) which are assigned to the FLOC. |
Description | Description for each Equipment which is assigned to the FLOC. | |
Equipment Type | Hierarchy Type for each Equipment assigned to the FLOC. |
Menu Toolbar
There are several shortcuts or available features that the FLOC toolbar can be used for. In the table below these features are explained. These are all explained in IMS Main Screen (Grid List).
Filtering FLOCs
From the FLOC overview page, several filters can be used to drill down the search results for the shown list of FLOCs. Filters include items such as:
- FLOC Range (populate this field with multiple FLOCs for direct search)
- FLOCs with/without Equipment
- Inspection Reason (e.g. CLASS 1, CLASS 2)
- Location Type / Hierarchy Type (e.g. EXCHANGER-FLOC, VESSEL-FLOC, PIPE-FLOC)
- With/without Circuit
- With/without Inspection Reason
- Etc.
To filter a list:
- Click on the filter button.
- Check the filters that you want to use.
- Click Show ….

Moving FLOCs
From the FLOC main grid, items can be moved to another Unit, using button in the Toolbar. A new screen will appear where the user can select the new Parent (i.e. Unit) to which the FLOC will be moved. Also see PEI Hierarchy - Overview.
