# PEI Release 4.9

## Product field available on FLOC and Equipment

The Product, defined as the process fluid in Equipment, such as crude oil or natural gas, can now be added directly when creating or editing FLOCs and Equipment, as well as on the FLOC and Equipment Details pages.

The set Product value is inherited from FLOC to Equipment if the Product is not set on the Equipment level.

When creating or editing Equipment, the *Info* button next to the Product field indicates which Product value will apply if the Equipment Product field is left empty. Selecting a new Product value will override the inherited FLOC Product. The message displayed reads: "This will override the FLOC product [FLOC Product Name] for this equipment."

The Product column is now an optional addition to the FLOC and Equipment Main Screen (Grid List). The column is hidden by default but easily enabled through grid settings.

Product has been added to the PEI FLOC and Equipment templates as a non-mandatory dropdown field. The dropdown lists values defined in the Product table, and standard validation and security rules for this field apply. New Product values cannot be created via the importer; only existing values can be selected.

FLOCs and Equipment can be filtered by Product on their respective Main Screens (Grid Lists) using the dedicated Product filter, which draws from the existing Product list in Settings \ Maintenance \ RBI Specific \ Data S-RBI Specific Data \ Product.

When configuring Products in Settings, the Product field now accepts up to 150 characters, compared to the earlier limit of 50.
