Article summary

Take Note
This overview provides detailed instructions for entering data in the ECH module for the Internal Corrosion Test Case, specifically focusing on Case 1, where the Schedule is not available, and data will be added manually. The overview outlines the steps to specify the Past and Future Corrosion Rates and the Corrosion Morphology on Equipment Type "Pipeline" with Equipment ID "IC Internal Corrosion Test Case P1". In Case 1, Schadule is not available and data needs to be added manually in the ECH section on the Equipment Details Page.

In this case, the Past and Future corrosion rates and the Corrosion Morphology should be specified on Equipment Type "Pipeline" with Equipment ID "IC Internal Corrosion Test Case P1".

There are three sections with the following data:

Start at [m]

Length [m]

Past CR mm/y

Future CR mm/y

To enter the data the following steps should be performed on the Equipment ID "IC Internal Corrosion Test Case P1":

Steps:

  1.  Navigate to the Equipment Details page of the Equipment "IC Internal Corrosion Test Case P1"
  2. Scroll to the Condition History section.Graphical user interface, text, application, email Description automatically generated
  3. Create an ECH, fill in the parameters and click Save:Graphical user interface, application Description automatically generated
  4. On the ECH Details Page, in the Schedules credited section, click the SELECT button in the "Event or Opportunity driven" card:

  5. In the Checklist section, click on GENERAL.
  6. In the Actions Performed column click on, What was done and where?
  7. In the Actions Performed column find "Internal Corrosion Assessment" and in the UOM value column from the drop-down menu select "YES".
  8. Then click on the Table button , this will open the Internal Corrosion Assessment dialogue box.

  9.  In the table below the graph, the Past CR, Future CR and Corrosion Morphology for three sections have been specified:

Graphical user interface Description automatically generatedThe Corrosion Rate in the column Model CR is the Estimated Corrosion Rate calculated in Hydrocor. The Long CR and Short CR are the corrosion rates from the ILI run.

  10. Update the Confidence Rating questionnaire.
  11. After the data has been filled in, it will be visible on the Internal corrosion module of the applicable Pipeline Equipment, in the Internal Corrosion Assessment section:

In this example, the indicator is coloured. The indicator is coloured based on the comparison of the worst Future CR compared to the Design CR which has been calculated in the RBA module.

    The indicator is coloured:
    • Red: if the worst future corrosion rate is more than four times the design corrosion rate.
    • Orange: if the future corrosion rate is between one and four times the design corrosion rate.
    • Green: if the worst future corrosion rate is less or equal to the design corrosion rate.

  12. The data on the RBA screen has not changed. Because currently only the Internal Corrosion Rates have been specified, the following data will be shown on the screen after filling in a Confidence Rating of Medium:

  13. Final Approve the ECH.
  14. Then Final approve the ECH
