PL Internal Corrosion Appendix 5. Test Case 3
Take note
This overview provides detailed instructions for entering data for the Condition History of the Internal Corrosion Test Case, specifically focusing on Case 3. In this scenario, the data is imported in bulk, and the ECHs (Equipment Condition Histories) are also approved in bulk.
In Case 3, the data will be imported in bulk for Pipelines “IC Internal Corrosion Test Case P3” and “IC Internal Corrosion Test Case P4”. The data will be imported from the Excel file, “03 Import Int Corr. Assessment.Case3.ImportTemplate.xlsx.”, from the file “Data for User Manual IMS-PLSS PL 2 Internal Corrosion.zip” that you will find in the attachment of this article. Note: Make sure to download and unzip the file before starting the import.
The file contains the following data:
To import these data perform the following steps:
Click Settings in the upper right corner.
In the menu on the left, click Data Transfer.
Click Data Import next.
Click Browse and select file "03 Import Int Corr. Assessment.Case3.ImportTemplate.xlsx"

Navigate to the ECH Main Screen.
The following data will be shown:
Select both rows.
Click the Approve button in the toolbar.
Note: Once the RBA assessment is completed, the indicator will change color. The specific color change will be based on the Design Corrosion Rate.
The indicator’s color is determined by comparing the worst Future Cr to the design CR calculated in the RBA module. The indicator is colored as follows:
Red: when the worst Future Corrosion Rate exceeds the Designed CR four times.
Orange: when the future corrosion rate falls between one and four times the Design Corrosion Rate.
Green: when the worst Future Corrosion Rate is less or equal to the Design Corrosion Rate.
