It shows how to build an overview of all Approved Analyses, with their Criticalities and Residual Risk — valuable for RCM quality checks. For when and why to use a query in RCM, see [RCM Queries – Background](/v414/docs/rcm-queries-background); for day-to-day query tips, see [Working with Queries](/v414/docs/working-with-queries). Note This article describes the Analyses Overview Query. ## Building the Query The "Analyses Overview (changes)" Query provides this data, and uses the Base view: "vwRCMData"**:** ![Query configuration for the Analyses Overview (changes) query, using Base view xwRCMData.](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/Analyses.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-07T17%3A29%3A47Z&se=2026-11-07T18%3A29%3A47Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=VBdRmRra1dp9vZPtPhgGigyWYe3P9XB%2FcJkc6DnI%2FsM%3D) ## Query Output This query provides this output: ![Analyses Overview query output, listing Approved Analyses with Criticality and Residual Risk.](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/Analyses%20output.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-07T17%3A29%3A47Z&se=2026-11-07T18%3A29%3A47Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=VBdRmRra1dp9vZPtPhgGigyWYe3P9XB%2FcJkc6DnI%2FsM%3D) > [!NOTE] > Note > > Using the **FLOC** and **Tag** fields helps to get insight into whether analyses are done on Floc level or on Equipment level. ## Interpreting the Results After exporting to Excel, you can create a pivot table to compare Criticality against Residual Risk, split by Approval status: ![Pivot table comparing Criticality against Residual Risk, split by Approval status.](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/Pivot2.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-07T17%3A29%3A47Z&se=2026-11-07T18%3A29%3A47Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=VBdRmRra1dp9vZPtPhgGigyWYe3P9XB%2FcJkc6DnI%2FsM%3D) From a table like this, one could observe: - 7% of the Analyses are in the higher criticalities (E-H-MH-M) — which is quite low. - 45% of all analyses are Automatically Approved — which seems high considering so many low criticalities. - There are 9 H residual risk analyses — which is too high. - There are 70 MH residual risk analyses — which is also too high. - There are 2 M criticality analyses with a residual risk of H — which is incorrect as risk should be reduced, not increased. There are quite a few analyses where the residual risk level exceeds the criticality level, which is worth investigating.
