Converting 360° panorama Images into planar Images

Machine Vision works best on the regular planar Images. If you have panorama Images as a result of scanning, it is best to convert them into planar Images.

To convert panorama Images into planar Images:

  • In the Observation Scan Main Screen (grid list).

  • Select the needed Tags.

  • Click the Flatten Images button.

Take Note

It is assumed that all Images in the selected Tags are panorama Images. Flattening regular Image will result in distorted Image.

You can also trigger the Image Flattening from the Image Gallery:

When flattened, panorama Images will be removed from the list and only resulting Images will be shown.

Observation Scan Settings for image flattening

Image flattening results depends on the settings. The settings can be applied to the selected Folder / Tag, or to the Image itself. If settings are applied to the parent Folder / Tag, all the children (that do not have their own settings applied) will inherit the parent folder's settings.
