# S-RBI for Tanks RP

## Purpose

The purpose of this document is to describe a Risk Based Inspection (RBI) Methodology for Tanks used to optimize inspection intervals, schedules and monitoring tasks to ensure integrity, as well as safe and reliable operation consistent with the [S-RBI Methodology](/v414/docs/degradation-management-background-theory).
