SIS Equipment Overview

Prev Next

This online manual explains:

SIS Equipment.

An Equipment (in SIFPro this was called “Tag”) has all the elements of the “Tag” with a similar design, but with some added functionalities. Below the new functionalities are highlighted.

Master Equipment

When an Equipment is connected to a Master Equipment (in SIFpro this was called “Master Tag”) the connected Master Equipment name is shown on the Equipment Details Page. The data (e.g., Failure Rates) from the Master Equipment will be copied to the Equipment. When the IOSG or Equipment Type is changed in the Equipment, the data will automatically reset based on the details of the (new) linked Master Equipment. Most users cannot unlink an Equipment from a Master Equipment, only users with the Global admin Role will be able to unlink the Master Equipment from the Equipment (for them a Link button will show on the Equipment Details Page).

Merge functionality

A fictional Equipment can be created specifically for a project. When that project is done and the real Equipment is added to IMS, then the project Equipment and the real Equipment can be merged.
