Article summary

This online manual explains how the Hierarchy is implemented in IMS SIS.

The IMS Hierarchy is set up to implement the Safety Lifecycle

The figure below show the important objects in the Hierarchy.

Master Equipment are defined on Site level. This can be used to help define an Equipment. HAZOPs, LOPAs and SIF Analyses are on Plant/Unit level. Schedules are created on Equipment level (i.e., per Equipment). Also Equipment Condition Histories (ECHs) are created on Equipment level (i.e., per Equipment). Multiple Schedules can be credited in an ECH. Planned Events are also on Plant/Unit level. A Schedule can be linked to a Planned Event.
