IMS SIS is a powerful, yet easy to use, comprehensive software tool for documenting and maintaining your site Risk Analysis studies. It comes with a Hazard & Operability (HAZOP) study module with the built-in option to sync the HAZOP results with the Layers of Protection Analyses (LOPA). The built-in intelligent revision management control functions offer maximum flexibility while allowing you to stay in control of the HAZOP/LOPA revision management even with multiple MOC’s or Projects active on site.
The LOPA module comes with an extensive library for Initiating Events (Causes) and Barriers (Safeguards) with default, industry wide used frequency and PFD values that can be selected while building your LOPA.
Also, any SIF (Safety Instrumented Function) defined in a LOPA can be synced with its SIF Analysis where the SIF design and verification calculations can be performed to check if the current SIF design can achieve the required risk reduction dictated by the LOPA.
To assist you with the design verification calculations, IMS comes with an extensive failure rate database for Sensors, Logic Solvers and Final Elements. Flexibility is provided with an option to use user defined failure rates in the SIF design verification calculations.
Data such as existing HAZOPs and Equipment databases can be imported into IMS SIS while any data in IMS can be exported in different formats (Word, Excel, PDF).
With the built-in intelligent revision management and history logging, your IMS SIS database is ready for any FSA (Functional Safety Assessment) audit at every phase of the Safety Lifecycle.
In all, IMS SIS is a comprehensive tool to support the complete Safety Lifecycle Management process as per IEC61508 & IEC61511.
