Release 4.1

Note: These Release Notes only cover specific SIS enhancements. All other enhancements, not related to specific disciplines, are described in the IMS Platform (General) Release Notes.

Report Content Ordered Alphabetically

When multiple SIFs or LOPAs are included in a report, they are now listed alphabetically. Additionally, a table of contents has been added to both the SIF and LOPA reports to make it easier to locate specific items.

Combining SIFs in a report.

The report shows a table of content with the SIFs ordered alphabetically.

User instructions

To learn more about combining reports see Generating Reports.

Success Criteria Notes Modification

The fields in the SIF details screen (and New SIF window) previously known as Success Criteria SE and Success Criteria FE have been renamed to Success Criteria Notes SE and Success Criteria Notes FE. These fields are now standard, free-text notes fields. The previous restriction, which prevented SIF approval when multiple subsystems of the same type (SE or FE) were used and these fields were left empty, has been removed.

This update streamlines the workflow and reduces unnecessary blockers, while still allowing teams to document success criteria as needed.

User Instructions

To learn more about the SIF Details section see SIF Analysis General Tab and for Success Criteria see Defining SIF Success Criteria.

SIF Grid Improvements

Improvements have been made to the SIF Analyses Main Screen (Grid List) and the “Used in SIF Analysis” section on the Equipment Details Page:

Removed Fields:

  • The legacy fields Acceptable SIL and Tolerable SIL have been removed as they are no longer used.

Added Fields:

  • Target SIL (from the active/approved SIF Design Detail), Target RRF, and Achieved RRF have been added.

  • These fields also come with relevant filtering options.

These changes enhance visibility of key data and support more efficient navigation and analysis.

Note: In the next release a new Achieved SIL field will be added…
