Release 4.9
Note: These Release Notes only cover specific SIS enhancements. All other enhancements, not related to specific disciplines, are described in the IMS Platform (General) Release Notes.
New SIS Approval Flow options
For HAZOPs, LOPAs, and SIF Analyses, the approval workflow has been made more flexible. This also allows the IMS SIS approval workflow to be aligned with the legacy SIFPro workflow, if desired.
To enable this added flexibility, two SIS Application Settings have been updated:
SIS Direct Approval
This setting no longer only controls whether approvals are done in one step (direct/max approval) or step-by-step (one level at a time via a dropdown). It now also allows inclusion of an explicit Writer Approval level. Previously, Writer Approval was only available to users without approval rights and was not a formal part of the workflow.
SIS Multistep Approval
This setting enforces that at least two different users are involved in the approval workflow of an object and prevents the last approver from performing the next approval step.

Batch approval follows the same logic as individual approvals.

Improved “Reset to Master Equipment” functionality
Previously, resetting to Master Equipment automatically reset all sections on the Equipment Details Page and was only available per individual Equipment. This could result in unintended resets and made bulk updates time-consuming.
The reset functionality has now been improved to:
Allow users to select which sections should be reset
Support resetting multiple pieces of Equipment in a single action
This gives users more control and significantly reduces the time required for resets.
