Special Emphasis Configuration

The available Special Emphasis types are defined in Settings. For each type, inspection intervals are configured. Your CSA can add or change this data.

Special Emphasis Types

For each Special Emphasis Equipment, different classes can be defined. This configuration is done in Settings \ Maintenance \ Inspection/Schedules \ Special Emphasis.

Special Emphasis classes are defined in settings.

This configuration is done per site. The table below shows the Special Emphasis types typically available. The full list of available (and non-expired) Special Emphasis types can be found in the Settings (see the figure above).

Configuration of Max interval and Default interval

For each Special Emphasis Type, a Default interval, as well as a Max interval, is configured in Settings \ Maintenance \ Configuration \ Configuration per Hierarchy Type.

A Special Emphasis is configured per:

  • FLOC Type,
  • Equipment Type, and
  • Schedule Type.

For each of the above combinations a Default interval, as well as a Max interval, is set. This will impact the interval on the Corrosion / Inspection Schedule. The below figure gives an example of an Injection Point (IP) configuration for a PIPE-FLOCs.
