It walks through building a query that reports System-level statistics — Functional Failures, Flocs, Equipment, and Analyses. For when and why to use a query in RCM, see [RCM Queries – Background](/v414/docs/rcm-queries-background); for day-to-day query tips, see [Working with Queries](/v414/docs/working-with-queries). > [!NOTE] > Note > > This query shows statistics on Systems, covering Functional Failures, Flocs, Equipment, and Analyses. The System overview in IMS doesn't let you see how many Functional Failures are applied per System. Building this query gives you that insight — for example, you'll typically find an average of 4 Functional Failures per System, with a minimum of 0 and a maximum of 26 FF/System. ## Creating the Query You can create this query from the Base View Systems, with 12 fields selected, as shown below. ![Systems query configuration showing the 12 selected fields.](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/Sys%20stat%20Q.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-07T17%3A29%3A47Z&se=2026-11-07T18%3A29%3A47Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=VBdRmRra1dp9vZPtPhgGigyWYe3P9XB%2FcJkc6DnI%2FsM%3D) ## Example Output Running the query gives you an output like this: ![Sample results of the Systems statistics query.](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/Sys%20stat%20Qr1.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-07T17%3A29%3A47Z&se=2026-11-07T18%3A29%3A47Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=VBdRmRra1dp9vZPtPhgGigyWYe3P9XB%2FcJkc6DnI%2FsM%3D) ## After Export Once you export the results, you can produce statistics like this: ![Exported summary statistics for Systems.](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/Sys%20stat%20Qr2.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-07T17%3A29%3A47Z&se=2026-11-07T18%3A29%3A47Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=VBdRmRra1dp9vZPtPhgGigyWYe3P9XB%2FcJkc6DnI%2FsM%3D) You can use these statistics to compare current RCM work against previous analyses.
