The signs of distress become more apparent. | ## Software For more detail on the Equipment Condition History (ECH) refer to [ECH - Overview](/v414/docs/echoverview). ### Inspection History An Equipment Condition History (ECH), which credits a Schedule with the RBI assessment in scope, is automatically used in the RBI inspection History. However, when a GENERAL Component was credited with the inspecting of the RBI damage mechanisms, the ECH must be **Applied** to the RBI Inspection History. - Make sure that the assessment view is expanded to show the top section. - Select the **Inspection History** tab. - You will see the created ECHs. - Select the applicable ECH. - Click the red **Apply** button. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/step-3-determine-the-condition-status-and-credit-the-dms-in-civil-image-jx9zmbjo.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T16%3A15%3A20Z&se=2026-11-03T17%3A15%3A20Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=Zj8dbuMr6xnAgH1Pnl629K%2BVdOBV0I8IPtITmw3b8zI%3D)Apply an Inspection History. - Credit the DM (AR or NAR) to confirm that it has been inspected. - Click **Save**. - RBI will now use the inspection date of this ECH as the last inspection date for the selected DM. - Alternatively, a new ECH can be created by clicking the ECH icon or an Inspection History can be added manually by clicking the **+**. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/step-3-determine-the-condition-status-and-credit-the-dms-in-civil-image-f18grnv8.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T16%3A15%3A20Z&se=2026-11-03T17%3A15%3A20Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=Zj8dbuMr6xnAgH1Pnl629K%2BVdOBV0I8IPtITmw3b8zI%3D)Create a new Inspection History if there is no ECH to Apply.  ### Visual Material - Click on the Component ID to open the Component. - Scroll to the Attachments section at the bottom. - Click on large **+** button to add a new picture or click an existing picture to open. - Browse to relevant inspection pictures. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/step-3-determine-the-condition-status-and-credit-the-dms-in-civil-image-5jn87uyd.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-03T16%3A15%3A20Z&se=2026-11-03T17%3A15%3A20Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=Zj8dbuMr6xnAgH1Pnl629K%2BVdOBV0I8IPtITmw3b8zI%3D)Add attachments in the bottom section of the Component.Note: Similarly, attachments can be added to Equipment, Components and Equipment Condition History.
