Tying FM Schedules to Upcoming Events

Article summary

All Fabric Maintenance (FM) Schedules, can be linked to a Planned Event. This is extremely helpful when packaging Schedules that will be done during a turnaround (TA) or similar event.

If a Schedule is linked to an Event, the Schedule’s NID will change when the Event date changes. This also holds for multiple linked Schedules: If the Event date changes, the Site Administrator only needs to change and Approve the Event date in IMS and the NIDs of all the linked Schedules will then automatically be revised to the new date. Note: The default configuration is for the Site Administrator to control the addition and editing of Events, since with a CMMS (e.g. GSAP) interface all related Schedules will be influenced. These then also need to be adjusted on the CMMS side.

A Schedule may also have other dates (e.g., the User Date) taking part in the NID horserace. In this case the most conservative NID is always selected. Thus, only if the TA date is the earliest date in the horserace, will the NID be the same as the TA date.

Reviewing Planned Events

Planned Events (e.g. Next Opportunity, Pit Stop, Turnaround, Statutory Inspection) are registered on each processing Plant or Unit. You will find (and can filter) all Planned Events in the Planned Events Main Menu.

Alternatively, the Planned Events can also be found on Plant and Unit Level in Settings\Company\Toplevel

Each Planned Event has an Event Date.
