Adding Sections to Dynamic Forms

Structure of Dynamic Forms.

After you have added your Stages, you can add multiple Sections to each Stage. Each Section has a Sequence number that determine the order in which they are shown in the Stage. The Section's Style will determine how the Section's Fields (Questions and Answers) will be displayed, e.g., "Radio Buttons", "Long Answers", etc.

Take note that the first Section is added automatically, so if one Section is sufficient you can directly start Adding Fields.

Bulk Adding Sections

To bulk add multiple Sections to a Stage:

  • In the preview area, select the desired Stage card.
  • In the Section editor click Bulk Add.
  • Enter the list of Section Names that you want to add. You can also copy and paste such a list from, e.g., Excel.
  • Click Insert.
  • Add Descriptions.
  • Select the Relative Width: 100%, 75%, etc. This determines what % of the width of the Stage will be occupied.
  • Select the Style. This determines how the Section's Data Fields (Question and Answers) will be displayed, e.g., "Radio Buttons Answers", "Long Answers", etc.
  • Check Track progress if you want to include the Section in the Stage completeness count.  
  • Check Hide in report if this Section should be excluded from the printed report.
  • Click Save.

You will see a preview of the new Sections on the left. Note: You can change the sequence of the Sections by dragging the cards around.

Adding a single Section

To add a Section to a Stage:

  • In the preview area, select the desired Stage card.
  • In the Section editor or (preview area) click + Add.
Click Add. 
  • Change the Sequence number, if the automatic Sequence is not desired. This determines the number and order of the Stage in the Form. Note: You can also change the sequence afterwards by dragging the cards around in the preview area on the left.
  • Enter a Name.
  • Select the Relative Width: 100%, 75%, etc. This determines what % of the width of the Stage will be occupied.
  • Select the Style. This determines how the Section's Data Fields (Question and Answers) will be displayed, e.g., "Radio Buttons", "Long Answers", etc.
  • Check Track progress if you want to include the Section in the Stage completeness count.  
  • Check Hide in report if this Section should be excluded from the printed report.
  • Add a Description.
  • Click Save.

You will see a preview of the new Section on the left.

Adding Fields

When this is done you can start adding Fields to each Section.

Deleting Sections

To delete a Section:

  • Hover with your mouse in the preview area, over the specific Section card.
  • When the delete button shows, click it.
Hover over Section card and click the delete button.
