Article summary

Answers in a Form can be classified, e.g., as "Issues". A Recommendation can also be defined based on an answer.

Based on the answers a User may give in a Form, it is possible to define actions, e.g., "Create a CAIR Schedule". This will show as Recommendations in your Checklist. It is also possible to classify specific answers as "Issues". This enable IMS to record and track the number of issues (per Stage as well as per ECH).

For this, you need to: Add a Field to the desired Section of the Form, and then select the Control Type "Option List". You can then select a predefine Lookup List. For each value in the Lookup list, you can define actions, as well as add a classification.

Adding Fields with Lookup Lists

To add a Field with a Lookup list:

  • Add a Field to your Form.
  • For the Control Type select "options list".
  • Search for and select a Lookup list. Note: If none of the predefined lookup lists are suitable, you can define a new lookup list and then select this.

A Lookup table can be selected.

  • Click Save.

The selected Lookup list will show in the area below the Field editor.

Important
Be careful when changing values in the Lookup, when other checklists will be impacted. Rather consider defining a new Lookup.

Classifying Answers

To classify your Lookup list's values:

  • In the preview area, select the Field card. The associated Lookup list editor will be displayed in the bottom on the right.
  • Select desired Classification Types for applicable values.

Select a Classification Type.

  • Click the Save button when done.

Classification Type:

Good

Take Note
By classifying specific values as "Issues", you enable IMS to record and track the number of issues (per Stage as well as per ECH).
Not applicable
IMS will color "Not applicable" values in grey.

Defining Recommendations

To define actions, i.e., Recommendations for your Lookup list's values:

  • In the preview area, select the Field card. The associated Lookup list editor will be displayed in the bottom on the right.
  • Select a desired Lookup Action for applicable values, e.g. "Create a CAIR schedule".
  • Click the Save button when done.
Select a Lookup Action.

Recommendations in the ECH

When the Form is subsequently used in an ECH, a Recommendation will show when an applicable value is selected. When in the Stage detail, Users can hover with the mouse to see the trigger for the Recommendation.

In the Stage detail, the Recommendation trigger is shown, when hovering with mouse. From the Checklist overview, Users can implement the Recommendations, i.e., create a CAIR, by clicking the red button. In the Schedule pop-up screen, Users will be able to select applicable Observations (by default all will be selected).
Users can implement toe Recommendation for the Checklist overview. Observations will be selected.
