This online manual explains the Dashboards in IMS:

  • The features and queries built in IMS Dashboards.

  • How to create a new custom Dashboard and Dashboard Sections.

  • How to populate a custom Dashboard Section with data.

  • How to apply KPI statistics to a custom Dashboard.

The IMS Dashboard is a data visualization tool that displays current and historic statuses of metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for a site. The Default Dashboards are tailored for a specific role and display metrics targeted for a single point of view or department. There are several fine-tuning options that can be used to determine what data is shown and how it is visualized.

In addition to the default Dashboards, it is possible to create Custom Dashboards with a customizable interface and the ability to pull real-time and historic data from the Site’s database.

Let's start by opening a Dashboard.

The general structure of a Dashboard is illustrated below.

Description

Dashboard

The Dashboard is the highest level and starting point for creating your own Dashboard information. All available Dashboards are displayed in the Dashboard dropdown menu.

Section

A Dashboard can contain one or multiple Sections. Each Section has a name and description. Also, for each Section, you must select a data Source and applicable filters.

Element

A Section can contain one or multiple Elements. Each Element will display a specific set of data based on the Section’s specified Source. There are many display options for an Element. Elements can be linked or independent. Linked Elements are connected Elements, that will correspond to the selected item in the parent Element.

Group

A group can also be added to a Dashboard. This can be used to group Sections together.
