Take Note

This overview will explain how to override the NID through ECH in IMS PLSS.

The existing NID can be overridden by creating a new Equipment Condition History with the Checklist “Integrity Assessment”.

To override the NID:

  • Create a new ECH.

  • In the Checklist section select the “GENERAL” template.

  • Under Actions Performed find “Integrity Assessment”.

  • In the Integrity Assessment Value field, in the drop-down menu select “Yes”.

  • Click Next.

  • Under Conditions Found in the  “Integrity Status” Value field select “Use PLSS Remaining Life”.

  • Under Conditions Found in the “Next Inspection Date Status” Value select “Override Next Inspection Date”.

  • Under Conditions Found in the “Next Inspection Date Override” Value select the applicable date.

When the NID is overridden, an exclamation mark will be displayed next to the NID, both on the Equipment Main Screen (the Overview Grid) in the NID column and the RBA module’s RBA Approved Summary section in the NID column.

Exclamation mark displayed next to the overridden NID.
