Article summary

Take note

This overview will explain how to read the Flow chart in the lower left pane of the IMS PLSS Scenario Assessment Module.

The flow chart shows the parameters and data relations of the Assessment process. The Flow Charts differ based on the Strategy as shown in the images below.

The Flow Chart is displayed when the Strategy is "Design Intent" or "Extended Life" vs "Fit for Purpose".

The Items shown in the blue background can be adjusted in this module. When a parameter is changed in the active Scenario (compared to the original value), that item will be highlighted in red.  In the example below the Number of Repairs and the Future CR have been adjusted.

Resetting the Values of the Flow Chart

You can restore the parameters of the items highlighted in red to their original values directly from the Flow Chart. To reset a red item:

  • Click on the red Item in the Flow Chart.

Click on the red highlighted Items to reset the associated parametres to their original value.

Note: A change in either Expected Defect Morph, Assessment code, MAOP, or Number of Repairs requires a full recalculation of the data of the last inspection from the FFS module. This calculation is automatically triggered when clicking the Save & Run button, in the Scenario Toolbar but it might take some time.
