The import files used in this part of the handbook are available in the [*IMS-PLSS Campaign Import Excelfiles.zip*](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/User%20Manual%20IMS-PLSS%2009%20Campaign%20Import%20Excelfiles.zip?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D). In this example the Corrosion Assessment should be performed on the following Pipelines with Plancodes: | **Pipeline** | **Plancode** | | --- | --- | | Campaign CorrAssessm Pipeline1 | EXTERNAL CORROSION ASSESSMENT INTERNAL CORROSION ASSESSMENT | | Campaign CorrAssessm Pipeline2 | EXTERNAL CORROSION ASSESSMENT INTERNAL CORROSION ASSESSMENT | | Campaign CorrAssessm Pipeline3 | INTERNAL CORROSION ASSESSMENT | | Campaign CorrAssessm Pipeline4 | EXTERNAL CORROSION ASSESSMENT | In this example, we will create the FLOCs and Equipment first. Normally, these are already available in PLSS. To create the Workpack and import data after the inspection has been performed: 1. Import the FLOCs, only needed to run this example. 2. Import the Equipment, only needed to run this example. 3. Import MAOP 4. Create the inspection schedules 5. Add the scope, Plancode and Inspection Locations to the Schedules. 6. Final approved the Schedules. 7. Create the Campaign. 8. Select the Equipment for this Campaign. 9. Select the Schedules for this Campaign. 10. Review Anomalies. 11. Review the Scope. 12. Final approve the Campaign. 13. Create the Workpack. 14. Execute the work. 15. Import the data. Note**:** steps 1 to 9 are normally a once-off setup for the Campaign. Once a campaign has been completed and a new one created the user will start at step 10. Steps 1 to 9, with the new schedule numbers, will automatically be copied to the new campaign. ## Step 1: Import the FLOCs The FLOCs can be created in your test environment by importing the file *Step 1 ImportFlocs.xlsx* The file has the following layout: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-bdz4u6ri.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) Note that in this import file the specified "Unit ID", in column A, is set to Example Campaign. So, this unit has to be added to the hierarchy, otherwise, you will get an error during the import. Under this FLOC both the pipelines will be added for the [CP test post survey](/v410/docs/creating-plss-campaigns) and this example Corrosion Assessment Campaign. To import the file **Browse** (1) to the import file, select the FLOC (2) and click **Next** (3): ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-bvisw123.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) After clicking **Next** you will be guided through the steps. All fields are filled in, only the **Next** button has to be clicked. ## Step 2: Import the Equipment (pipelines) The Equipment, in this example four pipelines, are in file *Step 2 Import PipelineEquipments.xlsx.* ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-sonutidh.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) To import the Equipment: - **Browse** to the file. - Select the option "Pipeline Equipment". - Click **Next.** ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-r66wicx2.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) After importing, the four pipelines will be shown on the Equipment Main screen. In the example, only Unit "Example Campaign" has been selected and the pipelines have been pinned: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-4iy54znm.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) ## Step 3: Import the MAOP The MAOP are in the Excel file *Step 3 Import MAOP history.xlsx* with the following layout: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-w2imkfbe.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) To import the MAOP: - **Browse** to the file. - Select the import option "MAOP history". - click **Next** a few times, ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-t4hyg1xc.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) ## Step 4: Import the Schedules The Schedules are defined in Excel file *Step 4 Import Schedules.xlsx* with the following layout: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-40922dun.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) To import the Schedules: - **Browse** to the file - Select Schedules - Click **Next** a few times. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-rcmzhb5g.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) After the Schedules have been imported, they are shown in the Schedule Main screen (in the example below the 4 pieces of Equipment have been pinned): ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-xmfgti4f.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) Note that Scope and Plancode are empty. These will be specified in the next step. ## Step 5: Import the Scope and Plancodes This is not an easy step and requires some knowledge of Excel functions, for example, the VLOOKUP function. In this import: - The Schedule number from the previous step should be used. - The Scope and Plancodes should be linked to the schedule number. For example: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-bh4ve256.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) Note that in Excel: - Column A is the Schedule number (can be extracted from PLSS by an export). - Column B, the Scope is always "ASSESSMENT". - Column C, the Plancodes, because on the first Schedule, both the Internal and External Corrosion Assessments have to be performed the same schedule number is on rows 2 and 3. Some tricks are explained in [Creating PLSS Campaigns Type Underwater Eq. Activities](/v410/docs/creating-plss-campaigns-type-underwater-eq-activities) After the import file has been updated, import it. To import the file: - **Browse** to the file. - Select "Scope and plan codes". - Click **Next** a few times. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-6lujgoto(1).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) After the import the Scope and plancodes will be available in the Schedule Main screen (sometimes you have to press the Refresh or F5 function key): ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-5by3pul7.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) ## Step 6: Approve Schedules To approve the Schedules in bulk: - Select the four Schedules. - Click the *A**pproval* button. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-km90jv4o(1).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) - Clicking **Approve.** ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-jtwwhsx4(1).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) After the Approval the green vertical line is visible and the Next Insp date has been filled in. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-94dutf1v.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) ## Step 7: Create the Campaign - Click the *Plus* button in the Main menu. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-ky423w42(1).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) - Fill in the data in the dialog below with Campaign type "Corrosion assessment pipelines": ![Graphical user interface, application Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-i4mtin6y.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) ## Step 8: Add Equipment IDs to the Campaign In this section, the pieces of Equipment that are part of the Campaign should be selected. In a future release, the Anomalies will be exported to the Workpack in a separate worksheet. The Anomaly number will be shown in the Workpack. ## Step 11: Review Campaign Scope This section provides an overview of Equipment, Schedules, Inspection Locations (if any) and Plancodes that will be exported to the Campaign Workpack. ![Graphical user interface, application, table Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-wh1z9gk2.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) Before the Workpack can be exported the campaign has to be Final Approved. ## Step 12: Final Approve the Campaign To Final Approve the Campaign: - Clicking the green **Approve** button. ![Graphical user interface, text, application, chat or text message Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-dsxulwt0.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) The following screen will be shown: ![Graphical user interface, application, Word Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-5ouzxqvh.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) This will adapt the Next inspection date on the Schedules. Before Approval it looks as follows on the Schedule: ![Graphical user interface, text, application, email Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-kh0me1xu.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) After Approval the Next inspection date has been set to the Campaign date, in this example 8-Dec-2021: ![Graphical user interface, text, application, email Description automatically generated](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-k8t74cb6.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) ## Step 13: Create the Workpack After clicking the *Export* button to create the Workpack, ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-gj2fh6sx.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) two Excel files will be created: - Int. Corr. Assessment.xlsx - Ext. Corr. Assessment.xlsx It should be in one Excel file, currently two. There is no hidden lookup table in the Excel file needed for the corrosion morphology column which is available in the current templates: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-dc9g6chh.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) The column titles in the Excel file are self-explanatory. The user should not change or remove column titles. In the Excel file, the you have to : - Fill in the past and future corrosion rates. - Review the corrosion morphology and the confidence rating. These have been copied from the last specified ECH. ## Step 14: Fill in the data in the Workpack An example: For testing the two Excel files will have the following data: For Internal: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-qs54e6z5.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) For external: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-538fn9lq.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) The problem if you split it is that there will be two ECHs created and then two Schedules with separate Schedules while in the example above one Schedule had two plancodes. ## Step 15: Import the Workpack Currently imported via Import Wizard ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-gm00nm45.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) Excel file names in this example: - Ext. Corr. Assessment[20210628_0713].xlsx - Int. Corr. Assessment[20210628_0713].xlsx See also [Importing Campaing Workpack Excel Files](/v410/docs/importing-campaign-workpack-excel-files). ## Step 16: Review the created ECHs ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/campaign-temp-image-c76zh23w.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A55%3A17Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A55%3A17Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=6%2BJXWNP7xY5ArHOl3ZpV4%2FmrvDEogJdN9mAaQVEIiuk%3D) Schedules with the same number will be shown on one ECH. ## Step 17: Close the Campaign and create a new one After all the Schedules have been credited in an ECH and all these ECHs have been Final Approved then the Campaign will automatically become inactive and Status will be set to "Closed".
