To do a Grayloc design:
Go to the Grayloc Equipment Details page.
Scroll to the Grayloc Design section.
Click Edit.
In the Design section – specify the design input:
Tightening Step 1
Clamp Size - used to determine Torque. See Appendix B: Grayloc Calculations.
Stud Size - auto filled with default value. See Appendix B: Grayloc Calculations.
Wrench Size - auto filled with default value. See Appendix B: Grayloc Calculations.
Tightening Step 2
Hub Size - auto filled with default value, which is equal to the Clamp Size.
IMS determines minimum Torque (this is the 150% Torque). See Appendix B: Grayloc Calculations.
Click the arrow < to apply the calculated Torque value, or
Input another value. Note: A warnings is given if this is below the calculated value.
Also 50% Torque, 100% Torque, and 200% Torque is calculated.
Seal Ring size (dropdown) – This does not influence the Torque calculation but is needed to determine the Stand Off Range. See Appendix B: Grayloc Calculations.
Note: Predefined Default values can be changed.

IMS determines the Specs (e.g. Stand Off Range, Tolerance, Reading over ¼ Ball, Seal Ring Range, HC, and Torque Values) from the above defined values. See Appendix B: Grayloc Calculations.

Grayloc specs are determined based on design data.
