Some of the topics covered include: > > - IMS Developer Portal Overview > - Integrity Operating Window/Data Historian Interfaces > - Digital Twin and Document Management Systems Interfaces > - CMMS Interfaces & Implementation Guidance ## What is an Interface? In simple terms, an interface is a point of interaction between two or more systems. When we talk about Interfaces in IMS, we refer to the various methods that IMS can share information and resources with other software systems, such as: - **Single Sign-On (SSO)**: Google Workspace (SAML 2.0 / OIDC), Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Active Directory / ADFS (on-premises), PingIdentity (PingFederate / PingOne), Custom SAML 2.0 / OIDC - **Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS):** SAP, Oracle, Maximo, Infor, etc. See [CMMS Interfaces & Implementation Guidance](/v410/docs/cmms-implementation-for-clients). - **Data Historians**: OSIsoft/Aveva Pi, Aspentech DataWorks, PAS InBound, Honeywell, Honeywell PHD, IP21, etc. See [Integrity Operating Window/Data Historian](/v410/docs/integrity-operating-windowdata-historian). - **Document Management Systems:** Hexagon, Assai, Aveva, SDx, SharePoint etc. See [Digital Twin and Document Management Systems](/v410/docs/digital-twin-and-document-management-systems). - **3D Models**: Any NavisWorks (NWD) format files of 3D models. See [technical requirements](/v410/docs/ims-3d-upload-requirements#3d-model-required-format). - **Wall-Thickness Measurements**: DIMATE PACS - **Geographic Information Systems (GIS)**: Showing publicly available map layers: - ArcGIS Feature Service: complete, including colours and categories taken from the service. - OGC WFS 2.0: filtered to the map view, with paging that works around short first pages from PDOK/GeoServer. - OGC API Features: filtered to the map view, following links. See [PLSS Maps](/v410/docs/plss-maps). - **IMS APIs:** The IMS Developer Portal allows access to data in the IMS database for use in third party tools. See [IMS Developer Portal](/v410/docs/ims-developer-portal). ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e492a0e0-a4ba-4aca-8fc6-76b95f91fdf3/Images/Documentation/image-7PKSEKJC.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-28T21%3A53%3A21Z&se=2026-10-28T22%3A53%3A21Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=oV24A2TdL6p3Amqs55wVxjebXX7hGJRinQvDMOiybY4%3D) Interfacing with IMS ## Why Interface with Other Systems? Having all types of software connected and communicating seamlessly is a key factor to achieving excellence in asset management. While some interfaces work out of the box, other interfaces that need to be configured to the specific needs of the users Cenosco has developed its software with the capability to work together with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) ,Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other applications. Cenosco can help you develop, support and implement the interfaces necessary to work with your in-house and third-party systems. ####
