# IMS System Requirements

The current version of IMS is a web-based application. Cenosco recommends the use of Cenosco Cloud services to allow for continuous delivery of bug fixes and updates to IMS.

For users that use on-premises hosting for IMS, the following is a list of the hardware and software requirements for a typical IMS deployment.

> For on-premises deployments, Cenosco will require temporary remote access as well as temporary local administrator access for the purpose of installing and upgrading IMS on the webserver.

## Web Server Requirements

| Memory | 32GB RAM or more |
| Available Disk Space | 50GB |
| RAM | 8GB Minimum (per IMS instance) 16GB Recommended (8GB per IMS instance) |

| Software Minimum Requirements |

| Operating System | MS Windows Server 2019 R2 or higher, with IIS 8.5 |
| Database Management Tool | MS SQL Server Management Studio |
| Applications to be Installed | IIS Rewrite Module 2.1 IIS Application Request Routing 3.0 IIS Web Deploy 3.6 Microsoft System CLR Types for SQL Server 2012 Microsoft Visual C++ 2010,2013,2017x86/x64 .NET Core 8 (from Release 2024.3 to Release 4.12) .NET Core 10 (starting with Release 4.13) IIS Crypto Notepad++ GNU Octave Any DWG DXF Converter, Any DGN DWG Converter (for Releases prior to Release 4.12) 7zip Node.js R for Windows DebugDiag Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome |

## Other Database Requirements

Access to Azure Blob Storage is recommended for all deployments beginning with IMS Release 2024.3 for optimum database performance.
