# IMS User Interface - Overview

**This online manual explains the IMS User Interface:**

- How to navigate the IMS Main Menu Items.
- The IMS Main Menu Screen Options:
  - The scoping bar.
  - The filter
  - The toolbar.
  - The data views and info bar.
- The IMS Details Page Options:
  - How to open.
  - The Header.
  - How to use the Rich Text Defaults for certain sections
  - How to add and annotate Attachments

For most actions there are multiple ways of executing them, e.g., through icons on the toolbar, the menu, mouse right-clicking or swiping. Not all actions are explained here.

Note: Although screencaps apply to the IMS PEI module, the basic functionality described applies to all modules in IMS.
