An RCM analysis can belong to only one System at a time. As a result, moving an analysis from one System to another may be restricted.
As an alternative, you can create a temporary (dummy) Functional Location (FLOC) or Equipment to hold the analyses. Then use the Copy-Paste or Export-for-Import functionality to create a copy of the analysis set. After moving the FLOC or Equipment to the target System, reassign the RCM analyses as required.
When moving an analysis between Systems, the most important consideration is the mapping of Failure Modes (FMs) to the Functional Failures of the target System. Because Systems often have different Functions and Functional Failures, the existing mappings may no longer be valid and must be reviewed.
You can move analyses from one System to another from the FLOC or Equipment Details page.
In the example shown in the attached video, compressor K2024B is moved from Reaction System IMS2 to Reaction System IMS1.
During the move, the wizard displays the current System, Function, and Functional Failure associated with the analysis. It then prompts you to select the corresponding Function and Functional Failure in the target System.
